People wearing seat belts still die but there are LESS deaths. Gun control wouldn't stop all these events but there would be less. In Australia, they had gun legislation and gun deaths went way down.

Doubt it. Except for Austin, Texas is super conservative. Things like marijuana and gambling will never be legal here. Some....most leaders in the state can't get out of the way of their own agenda. That being said, he does have a Bible verse post every week at the same time
Let me make on thing perfectly fucking clear. My community was just targeted for mass murder. If you have any fucking thing to say beyond condolences I don't want to fucking hear it. I do NOT want a debate about whether the killer's ex wife is hot. Take that SHIT elsewhere. Like a Donald Trump rally. State after state in the past year has tried to outdo one another in passing antigay laws. To see who could be most mean-spirited. The "winner" has to be Mississippi, why am I not surprised, that passed a law that counselors at suicide prevention hotlines can refuse to assist gay callers if that's what Jesus wants. Because you know Jesus wants us all to kill ourselves. I guess the difference is gay hating Christians want us to kill ourselves, gay hating Muslims do the job for us. The runner up for the Republican nomination spoke at rallies with Christian ministers who called for the death penalty for homosexuality. The presumptive nominee has pledged to fill the Supreme Court with justices who will overturn gay civil rights; I guess it's OK if we live as long as we cower in closets with no rights. The way it was when America used to be "great". So this fuckhead takes it to the logical, if such a word can be used, conclusion. So don't go passing the fucking buck. Don't say it's just immigrants (he was born here) or Muslims. Look in your fucking mirror. Because right now my tolerance for homophobic shit is at negative 1 million or so. And there is a fuck of a lot of it right here on S2. And I'm sorry if I'm not really making sense because I am SICK SICK SICK of this SHIT. I am SICK SICK SICK of it. I am SICK of my community scapegoated. I am SICK of "faggot" being the insult of choice in sports and elsewhere. I am SICK of hearing that if I knew YOUR dick I wouldn't be a lesbian. I am SICK of fucking "religious freedom", a cherished value, translated to "I hate gays and have the right to refuse service to you". I am SICK of candidates getting into office on hating us. I am SICK of politicians who can't solve a single damn problem in their states or in Congress but always have time to pass another antigay, or antiabortion, or anti birth control, law. I am SICK of every time I hear someone say he/she is Christian I have to think "he/she hates gays" and usually being right. I am SICK of assholes like Trump using an attack on MY community to spread more hate and more incendiary language. I am SICK of fucking hypocritical antigay governors offering their "prayers", for what, more of us to die? and then signing more antigay laws. I am SICK of cutting AIDS funding because it's just queers, oh but isn't it awful, a Muslim killed gay people. Have to do something about these Muslims. Shit, they're nearly as bad as queers. I am SICK of damn near every fucking thing right now.
It is a horrific attack on america and specifically gay americans. It's not any fault of people who are gay. Condolences are of course in order. But don't go asking for nothing more than condolences while throwing political bombs and expect nobody to respond in kind.
