Ya Barnes seems pretty chill. Iggy is even annoying as fuck now with his facial expressions towards refs. Barnes, Ezeli, and Livingston are the only regulars on that team that I can stand..

I know I'm the contrarian Blazer fan, always going against the flow of the trail, but I have to go there, again. TL;DR Draymond got the suspension he deserved. There is no manipulation/conspiracy by the NBA. If another NBA player got the "Iverson teabag crossover" move pulled on them, I would be surprised if they didn't at least do something similar as Draymond. ::: cool story follows ::: My background in sports is fencing in college and the history of the sport has ingrained respect for your opponent and judges. Not to say you don't have plenty of fencers that are unsportsmanlike, but that history imbued in me a feeling of personal integrity and fair play. If you get a touch on you, you say so, if your opponent had right of way, you admit it, etc. Basketball is not the same! Trash talk, and dissing your opponents in various ways is part of the game and has been for as long as I can verify, the 70s, and probably longer. If you played ball on the street courts in Oakland or Richmond, CA back in the 80s, and no doubt other cities I can't vouch for but that are no doubt similar, you would know that what Lebron did to Draymond could get you shot at the worst, and at least an elbow to your face. Yeah, it isn't right, but that is a part of the past of this game and it doesn't just go away because we might want it to. It amuses me how so many fans will complain about how the game is soft these days, then a player stands up for his manhood by attacking another player, admittedly in a subdued fashion compared to what Rudy T had happen to him, and then gets called all sorts of names. Draymond flailed at Lebron from the ground and his legs were the target. Baggie shorts these days obscure contact and there may actually have been no contact. He isn't trying to hit Lebron's nuts... As to conspiracy... I am loathe to say it, but my respect for someone is inversely proportional to how often they bring up conspiracy. Conspiracy is a serious matter, but for so many people they want to accuse every situation of some ulterior motive. Draymond fell for the bait, flailed again while having zero tolerance, and got what he deserved. He is a reckless hot-headed athlete that is hated ala Bill Laimbeer and is now reaping the results of that badboy attitude. If another player got tea-bagged the same way Draymond did I would not hold it against them if they retaliated. Looks like we agree! At the gym, as I type this, and just saw slow motion of the "altercation" and that was nothing. Love tap, then another half-hearted flick and miss. Once again, he deserves the foul since he is on a zero tolerance policy at the moment, but that was weak and not worthy of the foul under normal circumstances. It's not a conspiracy....the NBA is a business and if people think they don't do things to increase revenue every chance they get, they are not paying attention very well. Superstars are reffed differently, rookies are reffed differently, the Patrick Ewing draft had all sorts of inconsistencies about it, the Lakers and Suns shot insane amounts of FTs all of a sudden to turn the tides of series against Sacramento and Seattle. None of those are conspiracies....they are just things that happened all with the advantage towards a larger market, the superstars and in the name of dollars in pockets. Same with Tim Donaghy being the ONLY ref to ever bet on games. Really? Refs weren't supposed to bet on anything at all or they would lose their jobs.. Then when an investigation was done after the Donaghy situation, they found that a majority of refs gambled in one way or another and not one of them lost their job as was the guideline. I'm not a conspiracy buff at all but when they started looking at Draymond and what happened with LeBron (who was by far the instigator in that particular situation even though I think Green is an idiot) a couple of us talking about it immediately thought the same thing.....that he would finally be suspended because it was LeBron involved instead of someone like Steven Adams and that the series was about to be over in a route. No conspiracy....just an opinion based on how the NBA seems to operate and it ended up being spot on.

Light hearted entertainment to keep us afloat during this dreadfully long time period in which all we can do is guess as to what our team will do. And we have been guessing, so we swap our attention to Days in Draymond's Lives, SoaP.
The NBA's TV money is already locked in for this series. They don't get paid more by CBS for any additional games. So, that kind of puts to rest any conspiracy theory that the league is prolonging the series to generate more revenue. Of course, additional games means additional ticket sales, concession sales and merchandise sales at the games, but that money goes to the teams and players, not directly to the league. Prolonging the series does keep the NBA's product in the public eyes longer, but given how boring these games have been, I'm not sure that is win for the NBA. Of course, for those REALLY into conspiracy theories, you could say having a series go 6, or 7 games would give the NBA a stronger bargaining position for future TV deals, but the next television contract has already been signed and it's a doozy ($24 billion over 9 years). So, I doubt if anyone will even remember these finals the next time the NBA television contract is up for negotiation. Maybe the NBA just wants to see some relatively competitive games in this series. Suspending Green may turn another 30-point blowout into a 10-point "nail-biter". Or, maybe it won't. Or, maybe Green finally got what he deserved. He's been on the verge of suspension for his accumulation of flagrant fouls and technicals for a while now, and this happened to be the incident that pushed him over the limit. So, maybe it's not a conspiracy, maybe it doesn't have anything to do with prolonging the series, or maximizing revenue. Maybe it's just simple math. BNM

It blows my mind that there are people who are siding with Draymond on this. There's a reason why he was suspended. He had accumulated enough points from OTHER flagrant fouls which ultimately added up to him missing game 5. The guy is a habitual line-stepper. He should have been suspended against OKC. Fuck the Warriors. I'm so sick of this entitled team. Klay Thompson has to be the most spoiled little rich kid I have ever seen in the league.
Why the Thompson hate? Can't argue that all the other Ts earned the suspension for Draymond but this should have been a non-issue. LeBron says that it wasn't the push from draymond that got him mad, but that he was called a bitch. Then starts talking about how he has kids and doesn't like being called names.
