So stoked about this. Grew up listening to this guy as a Sonics fan and it almost brings tears to my eyes that he'll be announcing for the Blazers. Awesome.
When did I explode? I just think telling the people of Portland you are doing right by them by hiring people from Seattle is stupid. Calabro is good, but I don't think he is all that much better than who he is replacing
I think most people have moved on past the "seattle is evil! I hate everything to do with Seattle" mindset once they hit their 20's.
Calabro is good and all, but I was happy with the Mikes, and I don't like how the axe fell. But let's put some of Paul Allen's money to work: now we need to get a proper D-League team and have the Mikes hired with the same pay they always had to comment. Let's class up the D-League! And it can be in Seattle, at the Key Arena, to make Sonics fans happy (and rub their noses in Blazer success).
It's not his fault we failed to draft Klay. Who grew up a Blazer fan. (No, Mychael Thompson is a fucking turncoat because he's a Lakers fan):
Maybe most people have. Good for them. I am old enough to remember the rivalry. Fuck them. Fuck their announcers. Fuck their radio hosts that asked people to slash tires at the games up there with Oregon license plates on them. Fuck Seattle for probably getting a hockey team before we do. Fuck Seattle for probably being used as leverage when our lease expires in 9 years.
My bad, punctuation trouble. He's a turncoat (agreed, because he's a fucking Laker). And he's a jackass for siring Klay, who is a jackass like his father before him.
