Bowing out before the convention would be doing both the country and the GOP a tremendous favor. Unfortunately, the massive walking ego that is Donald Trump will never allow himself to think that this could end in any other way than him winning the presidency.
Yeah, heaven forbid a private citizen gains enough popularity to be able to run for the Presidency and win the nomination while breaking the broken system. Seriously, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, all a bunch of fuckbois. If anything, he did the Republican party and the country a great favor by showing that these fuck-head career politicians don't have a monopoly on running this country.
Probably around the middle of october will be something about his wife's health or something about needing to focus on his family.
He won't quit (if he really does) until after the convention. The reason is $$$. He's been 'self-funding' his campaign so far. But not really. What he's really done is loan money to his campaign. He'll take public funding for the general election, which will allow him to pay back those loans to himself. So, essentially, the taxpayers will pay for his primary campaign that he supposedly self-funded. And his general election campaign too. But it's better than that, because much of the money he's spent is money he spent buying services from his own companies. So the taxpayers pay for his campaign, and Trump makes a nice profit on it. He might not be a great businessman, but he is damn good at taking advantage of people. barfo
He'd have to actually win the presidency to prove that. Unfortunately, all he's going to do is get Hillary elected. Wonderful.
Well, that's why we have elections. We need to change to a straight up democracy. One person, one vote.
