Surprised Utah wouldn't bite on that deal. They must think Bledsoe is injury prone. I think Bledsoe plus the 4th pick is great value for Hayward. Especially if he leaves Utah after his contract (rumors he wouldn't mind being out).

and are you that confident Crabbe is coming back? especially if he gets an offer at 12-13 mil? if he did then Lamb's contract would look pretty good

Yes, it's a terrific deal for Utah IMO. Bledsoe when healthy is a quality guard and with #4 you could replace Hayward with either Bender or Jaylen Brown, or get someone like Buddy Hield to form immense shooting backcourt. They would still have enough assets to move for a new small forward easily.

I'd take AC over Lamb. Even given the price difference.

AC shot 46% from the field, 39% from 3, and 87% from FT
JL shot 45% from the field, 31% from 3, and 73% from FT.

Worlds different when you have a spacer who shoots nearly 40% from 3 vs. a non threat.

Crabbe might get 12 MIL but he still only counts as 2.7 MIL to us for 3 days after July 7th while we decide to match or not. So we have from July 1st to July 6th during the memorandum to get someone to agree to use up our cap space and then from July 7th to July 10th for someone to officially sign before matching on Crabbe.

Are you kidding me? Lowry is good, but lillard is better. They better still have some room for dame on the team.

Dame still hasn't officially decided if he is playing or not. There are alot of PGs that had to drop out or decided to for one reason or another. This isn't a surprising move. If Dame plays he still has a chance to be the 2nd of at least 2 PGs behind Irving. He would beat out Lowry. I don't think they keep 3 PGs this year at all but if they did then Lowry could have a shot.

At one time I would have said yes to this. Now? No thanks. Maybe (and I only mean MAYBE) if we get into free agency and we can't get anyone signed.

Not a bad option for 20-25 mpg third guard. One skill we are desperately lacking is in perimeter defense. Rubio is a good ball stopper and plays well in passing lanes.

And he's a great passer as well.

He brings things we don't have.

It just kills all of our cap space and I think it is a move that makes you 2-3 games better over a season max. I said I would consider it if we strike out completely in free agency but there is no reason to otherwise imo.

Good on him! Bad for us fans who wanted his Olympic jersey. Now Lowry might be a lock as the 2nd PG.

Could he improve in Stotts' system? I think so.

Henderson had his best 3pt % under Stotts last year

Wes Matthews dropped after he left Stotts offense

My opinion would be not to judge people too much compared to our guys because our offense, and Stotts ability to give players confidence skews numbers in a positive direction

Good for Lillard; puts his team above "patriotism". He'll be here this summer with his guys and any new additions.

That probably has more to do with rupturing his Achille's than the system he played in.[/QUOTE]

I know you've been a big Jeremy Lamb fan going all the way back to the 2012 draft, but he really hasn't amounted to much and hasn't found a role on either team he's played for. Two years ago, when OKC had a ton of injuries and needed scoring, they inserted Lamb into the starting line up and he played so poorly and inconsistently he landed in Scott Brooks' doghouse and was buried deep on the bench, behind D-League call ups and 10-day contract players for the rest of the season. In mid-November he was starter. After mid-December, he hardly played for the rest of the season.

His poor work ethic has been sited repeatedly for his lack of consistent playing time. So, maybe it's Damian Lillard's leadership he needs more than Terry Stotts' system. If we get him, we get him, but it's not a needle mover and he'll only come as part of a package that hopefully gets us something else worthwhile. CHO is basically using the 22nd pick to foist him off on someone else. That shows you how much they think of him.
