The nauseating part of the draft. 9 executives and 2 kids have to go up on stage to announce matthews. What a horse and pony show

The Flames got Brian Elliot. I thought they wanted to trade for the flower.

Blackhawks are a far superior organization than the foolhardy Ranger organization.
Andrew Shaw to Canadiens for 2 early picks. And Gorton keeps twiddling his thumbs........
he just can't pull the trigger.

Tv guy at nhl draft is saying watch for rangers making big move for stamkos. No idea any scenario that this could possibly happen in real world but well see.

The Devils seem to be having a solid draft with all the picks theyve stockpiled.

Amazing that the dumb fucks respond to this rumor on HF and go "same old Rangers". You would think one of the 50 IQ morons on that board would do some research and realize the Rangers haven't signed a FA to a huge contract over 2 years in length in what? 4, 5 or 6 years? God they are dumb over there.

I am not defending Gorton at all, if anything I think he is worse than Sather, simply because at the very least Sather could trade well at times, but maybe Gorton is getting weak returns and that is why he hasn't made the moves. I agree that he has to be let go if Rangers have no connections and noone respects him, but perhaps that is the real reason.

Also, I was thinking maybe it is not GMs but the ownership that made GMs gave up all those picks, after all Dolan is the boss. Look at the Knicks, I realize that Phil Jackson is a rookie GM but he gave up first round pick also for Rose who is constantly hurt and only has one year left. Why? It is obvious Knicks will not win the championship next year, and they are not in the mini rebuild, they are in a full rebuild given have not made playoffs for a few years now. I don't know much about basketball, nor do I care, perhaps it works differently in basketball drafts, but I figured they should tank like Pens and others did and rebuild through the draft. Maybe Sather and Gorton are doing what they are told by the ownership.

Let's say Gorton makes a bad deal, then we will crucify him here on these boards. Nash and Stepan play huge role on this team, and I am all for trading both, but if the deal is not right, and noone want to give anything for him, then might as well keep both. It is what it is! I hate it too just like everyone else, but sometimes there is no way out when you dug such a huge hole.
