Please no Whiteside. He's known for good defense yet advanced stats say otherwise.

The upper-left quarter of this page appears to say that Whiteside ranked #319 in assists this season.

Here is a tweet from Whiteside yesterday; referring to Madison Square Garden and Staples Center.
" . . . I feel like those places are just special just because there are so many celebrities and everybody is there."
Could be a negative for us if it comes down to us or Lakers; and it also makes my stomach queasy as to who we would be getting in Whiteside, but I still think he is the strongest FA that we would have a chance of getting.

Simply a negotiating tactic by businessman Whiteside to keep the Blazers interested and ensure they offer the max. Nothing to worry about. ;)

He's not that young anymore but the minutes played come out to something like a 2nd year player. Dwight Howard, at 4 years older, has almost 10x the amount of minutes played.

Good point, not a lot of wear and tear.
Besides, he's 27.013 today according to basketball-reference.com, not like 27.8 or anything.
    Damian Lillard is 25.347 today.

    Al Horford is 30.023 today.

"It's not about loyalty it's about the best situation for myself."

    Gut feeling: he's leaving Miami.

BIG difference between how Hassan is speaking in that interview and how DeRozan is going about his impending negotiations. Demar is really not even speaking with other clubs and has made it very well known that he wants to go back to Toronto. The Miami reporter was quick to jump in with, "why wouldn't the Heat continue to be the best situation?" after teams like LA, Portland and Dallas were named.

At least we made some reporters list.

If we could somehow get him to commit On July 1st that would give them enough time to bring the rfas back and figure out who they need to trade for a pf, that would be perfect.

I have the worst feeling we will lose this dude to the Lakers. I hope not though. I hope we pull this off. Everything he is saying tells me he is leaving

Him and dangelo russell will be a ticking time bomb. There is absolutely no leadership on that squad.

Thats the advantage of portland, we have guys that can put whiteside in check.

Whiteside is a better version of deandre Jordan, and he's a better shooter... Not sure how it would be a blessing if he chose the lakers.

I haven't seen a single poster say something bad about him, that has any substance.

Because if he goes to the lakers winning isn't a priority for him, and that's not the type of guy we need.

    Ps I don't think he's that stupid
