Great find, thank you for posting. Woj seems to think Portland in going to match any offer on Crabbe. (said during the Whiteside portion)
They did mention that it may be more likely the Howard gets a large one year contract than a longer term contract
I was listening to a LA radio show yesterday from an actual Clipper supporter. (They are rare in the LA media) He was laughing at the Lakers because they have the cap space but still could not secure a meeting with Durant. While the Clippers have no cap space but are still able to get the meeting scheduled. He said it was more insulting to the Lakers than when LMA laughed at their presentation last year. He thinks the Clippers are proposing to trade either Blake or DeAndre for basically cap space if Durant wanted to play with CP3.
http://basketball.realgm.com/wireta...rs-Rockets-Magic-Pistons-Wizards-Celtics-Nets Interesting but slightly disappointing that we aren't on this list. Looks like Neil is going all in for Whiteside....no plan B.
I'm not gonna lie... I'm going to be pretty depressed if we don't use the cap space for a major piece. If we just end up matching our guys and that's it...... That will be a hard pill to swallow.
It'd kinda suck, but our team can win 54 games without any young guys improving. With young guys improving, we could win more.
So are we not meeting with KD and Horford because we didn't want to meet with them, or because they wouldn't meet with us?
Actually he was proposing that the Lakers with their 60 million dollars worth of cap space absorb one of them, and throw in a young player or draft pick. But he also said they have never traded with one another since the Clips were in SD, (Byron for Norm Nixon)
Well..... let me add to that... Are we not meeting with them because Neil didn't think it was a realistic endeavor (not that we wouldn't love to have them), or are we not meeting with them because they said no?
The truth some of the posters around here still dont get, on a national level to these players, portland is not that cool.
But we have such a great organization and a lot of good players and made the second round and we're rising!!!11!1!1!!! Why wouldn't anyone want to play here??!?!11!? Fact is, the next big signing for Portland would be the first, and if Neil can pull it off it would vault him in immortal territory.
