Play Harkless more minutes. Montero and Connaughton might have to play 12 mpg unless they have a cheap veteran guard to bring off the bench.
Leonard's a 5. He does best guarding that position. His size matches that of a center. Just because he can shoot doesn't make him a 4.
Sounds like a last resort to me. What if CJ fouls out on one of those days? Can't really go with 3 qualified guards.
What if this, what if that... If Whiteside wants to come here you have to renounce Henderson. Simple as that. If you wouldn't do that then youre crazy.
It's the GM's job to do the what if game and to plan for worst case scenarios. It would suck to be cruising along at a 60+ win pace and then see us fall below .500 due to an injury and lack of depth. I would renounce Henderson for the right guy, but to presume we wouldn't need a quality replacement is not the best plan.
Lol. He's played that position very well hasn't he? That's one of my complaints about Stotts. He played Leonard out of position.
