    The Trail Blazers on Tuesday extended qualifying offers to Meyers Leonard, Maurice Harkless and Allen Crabbe, ensuring the three players will be restricted free agents beginning July 1.

    By extending the qualifying offers, the Blazers reserve the right to match any offer the players receive on the free agent market, which begins July 1. A qualifying offer is 125% of the players’ previous salary.

    I can kinda understand Moe wanting to play for the Kings but I wouldn't be calling Cousins Scar if I was him.

    He could be a starter on any of those teams.
    Being a Starter -> Future $$$

    If he stays with the Blazers he could be throwing away a lot of $$$, now and in the future.

    If he's getting $12M-$15M now then he'll be fine in the future.

    If you played in the NBA, would you choose a starting position on a shitty lottery team, or to come off the bench knowing your team has a chance to win

    Depends on how much money I was being offered by each team, how old I was, and how realistic it was for me to ever get a big contract again.

    Good Question. However, the modus operandi of most NBA players has been to get the big contract first, then after they made $$$ go to a winning team.

    A 23 or 24 year old wants his chance to shine. Hes gonna wanna start no matter where it is to prove his worth and make that $$$$. Then when he is 30ish+ he will want to win to stamp his legacy and might be willing to take less money.
