Besides the injuries, Ezeli just hasn't impressed me. He looked BAD in the playoffs. Warriors had to play varajao over him. Is that who you want to invest $10m+ in? Not me

I'd be totally OK with that.

I don't get Barnes. He seems to shoot well, seems to be int he right place, coached well at NC and GS, yet only a 13 PER.

I can't believe more people here aren't concerned about his injuries. What good is a rim protector that misses 60% of his team's games? Do you only pay him 40% of what you'd pay someone who is healthy? I mean come on, he's only played in 92 of 246 possible games over the last three seasons. When I said he's Odenesque, I was referring to the injuries, not the quality of his play.

He would be Plan Z in my book, and for the record, I have do nothing (let the cake bake) as My Plans L through Y.

Our defense would be much, much better - not because Barnes himself is a "stopper". We'd have 3 athletic 6'8" or so guys (Aminu, Barnes, Harkless) who play defense and can switch reasonable well onto just about anyone. In this situation, we'd be less dependent on a rim protector.

PER is a meh stat as best.

I think we end up with Dwight and I'm not too happy about it to be honest. Dude's a train wreck and getting long in the tooth.

If they're planning on signing Dwight, they might want to schedule a meeting with him first.

If you can get Whiteside, Howard or Horford, you have to consider it but Barnes and Ezeli or Biyombo players aren't such an upgrade to me.

There's definitely a reasonable argument for it if Plumlee has higher trade value, but Meyers provides for more skill-set diversity.

Does it show a list? Espn said he would likely meet with 5 teams. Boston and atlanta seem to be the only ones confirmed at this time.

Sure. For instance, his usage rate is 15.9. He's a 4th option on his team. Who knows how much higher his PER would be if he were shooting as often as, say, Gerald Henderson did?

I wouldn't mind it if we signed Ezeli, then move Ed Davis to backup PF behind Meyers, with Plumlee as the backup Center and Alexander and Vonleh also getting some minutes.
We'd also have Aminu and Harkless playing PF in small ball lineups, iI think this could work. Maybe even make a consolidation trade after the SL.
We Would probably still have some money to bring another free agent or use in a trade

yes. I don't want to piss people off or go too far off on a tangent, but any stat that tries to compare apples to oranges is a mediocre stat. For example, what Deandre Jordan does is closer to being a volleyball player than it is to what Kyrie Irving does.

Ezeli never really stood out to me in the playoffs. But I really did not focus on him that much. What does he excel at? To me he seems very average.

That isn't a list.... that just says that Boston and Atlanta are the first "known" teams to secure a meeting with him.
