Clowney is a football player right? I guess I meant basketball players. I can't remember an NBA player getting microfracture surgery in the last few years.
That would make a lot of sense. What doesn't make sense is why we're being so secretive about it. What do we stand to gain from people not knowing who we're pursuing? Is Neil trying to snag Howard at a discount and doesn't want people thinking there's a market for him? The move extending the deadline for Cliff's guaranteed contract past the 30th, enabling us to dump him to clear space, also strikes me as a move to lock in Howard.
I don't know the difference between the various procedures. I had heard he had microfracture. A quick google pulls up this article. So, make of it what you will. http://espn.go.com/dallas/nba/story...minor-hybrid-microfracture-surgery-right-knee
In that same train of thought, what exactly do we gain by leaking who we will go after? Why would we want any of the other 29 teams to know our plans and priorities? Kinda of a silly question.
With Leonard, Connaughton, amd now Layman, haven't we reached our pretty-boy ceiling? Do we have enough mirrors in the locker room for those three and Parsons too?
Well, in some cases, you don't have a choice. Durant's camp is leaking the teams he is meeting with. Similar with Horford. Right now the only report about Dwight is something say that the only two confirmed teams are Boston and ATL.
The article says it wasn't a "traditional" microfracture surgery, so I think that's what I've heard they don't really do much anymore. I also don't really know the difference though.
Well, after what the Blazers have gone through in the last decade, if you say microfracture.... I don't want to take the chance.
