for those that were talking about bazemore, Woj says he's likely to get an offer in the range of 20.

that scares me in regards to crabbe

Crabbe is overrated on defense, severely by some fans. He fouls a lot.

If Crabbe is so great, start him at SF, move Aminu to PF, and fuck Griffin.

I didn't say he's "so great"; just asked about your perception on the talent gap.

Is there a particular reason you're so opposed to a CJ+ for Griffin deal? Just really high on CJ's potential, or not particularly high on Griffin?

We're not trading CJ ... Neil is building this team around our Lillard and McCollum.

I think that's probably a pretty damned good team. But I have such a hard time parting with CJ right now. Given the fact that Blake is out of LAC [it is known], and his nagging injury issue, can they really expect to receive someone as good/young as CJ in return for him?

Also: CJ playing for Doc Rivers!?! I think he might retire before agreeing to do that!

He may be overrated on defense....but he is still better than CJ.

Both at the same time. I think Griffin is high mileage with a concerning injury history, and CJ is low mileage with room to grow still. Plus Blake is a total d-bag and CJ is cool.

I'd love to sign him, depending on the cost. Could turn into a great buy low opportunity.

I only remember him getting horribly abused by LMA in 2014. Has he gotten better since?

The Clippers should have traded Blake Griffin at the deadline. Even with the punching incident they would have gotten more for him at that point then they could this summer imo.

Offer him something reasonable that if you get him, great. If not, it counts against the cap at a bigger number for the Rockets. Win-Win.

He wasn't even in the rotation for HOU much this year. Of course some of that is he was hurt about half the season. I don't see the need on our team right now but I do think he can be a steal for a team who gets him cheap and then he finally makes something of himself.

I think he was talking about Terrence Jones. Rockets didn't tender him. Wouldn't cost them anything as he is free agent now instead from what I gather.

I believe his response was in regards to the Rockers tendering the QO to D-Mont. True about Jones as he might come relatively inexpensive as well.

Certainly won't argue with any of that. I just don't know which is likely to be a greater contributor to a contender. In fairness though, Blake hasn't been any farther in the playoffs than CJ has, so it's certainly not a slam dunk that Griffin is the answer.

Nope, pretty sure @RR7 was referring to TJ I believe as I had mentioned the Jones comment below that tweet.

Monteijunas and his back issues is a guy I want to stay as far away from as possible. Regardless of price.

Kanter makes a LOT of sense if we also get Whiteside. Kanter is weak defensively, but Whiteside would be there to help erase his mistakes. The two compliment each other well.

Whiteside is a defensive stud. Kanter is an offensive stud. And here's the best part. It would give us two of the top 4 rebounders in the league. Whiteside's 23.1 TRB% was second to only Andre Drummond and Kanter at 21.0 TRB% was 4th in the league. Kanter was also the top offensive rebounder at an incredible 16.7 ORB% (Ed Davis was 4th with 14.4 ORB% and Whiteside was 9th at 13.1 ORB%).

I have always placed a very high premium on rebounding. Rebounds == possessions and those extra possessions can win you many games when you aren't shooting well. Great rebounding has also been at the foundation of all great Blazers teams of the past. The great '77 and '78 teams had Walton and Lucas. Those early 1990s teams anchored by Buck Williams led the league in rebounding, and the ill-fated 2000 team had Sabonis, Brian Grant and Sheed, as well as Pippen.

I hope OKC dumps Kanter on us in a failed attempt to land Horford. I'd love to see us get better and them get worse at the same time. Kanter by himself doesn't excite me as it doesn't address our rim protection need, but pair him with Whiteside and I'm stoked.
