Rasta is going to have total meldown 2.0 if we sign Parsons. It's going to be sweet.

If we changed his name to Parsonovic he would be all over this.

The funny thing is, Parsons does have kind of a Euro game.

Is it really worth gutting the roster to sign a couple of guys who likely don't make us contenders? I mean, we were solid because of depth. Losing that and chemistry may not be ideal. Neither Parsons nor Whiteside made their teams contenders.

$24M can be had without gutting the team. Sign one guy and use the rest, if any, to add even more depth. Or sign two guys for the $24M, or three.

It wouldn't be a horrible thing to add Whiteside or Parsons while keeping Crabbe and Leonard and Mo and the rest.

Maybe Olshey knows that those guys are going to get silly contract offers and he's not planning on matching?

If Durant was interested in us would we say no because of our history with foot surgeries? He had 3 of them in one year. I understand the concern, and I think the Blazers have to do their due diligence and look at it closely, but they just can't eliminate him because we have been jinxed in the past.

As for his 2015-2016 season.......I am ok with that Parson Chandler. Those two months before he got hurt were all star level.

He can match. Hopefully he uses the $24M right away. Then he can use exceptions to match the rest.

To me, the wildcard is Hendo. I would love to have him back, but we're not going to be able to offer much if we renounce his rights and have no cap space left. BAE or Room exception sized.

    I can see doing a S&T, too.

That would be the best case scenario.

If I had to choose between Parsons and Whiteside, I'd go with Parsons.

He's a quality 3rd option, and Plums' skills would be maximized in that lineup. We have depth to let him play reduced minutes to save his knees, or to cover the worst case.

Whiteside gets you defense and rebounding and inside scoring. His offensive rebounding is big for a jump shooting team. But rim protection doesn't mean squat if it's the splash bros shooting from 10 ft behind the 3pt line.

We would need an elite defensive pf in that lineup. Vonleh might be able to develop into that.

With three legit shooters, do you start Ed Davis at PF in a rookie Z-Bo garbageman role (with defense) alongside a Plumlee/Aldrich?

God, finally white people start getting a taste of what it's like to be someone of color.
