I don't mind it too much.... I'm collecting the amount of subtley racist comments in a bingo card. "He's deceptively fast." "He makes up for his lack of athleticism with his attitude." "Boy! What a gym rat." If you win then you get a LaCrosse stick, a free copy of Rudy and When It Was a Game. Baseball for three more months baby!
Flexible lineups. 82games says 12.2 PER by opposing SFs. Awful at PF. His team won 42 games. I'm not sure he's a starting PF. For a few minutes here and there maybe.
So we're going after Parsons if we don't sign who we want..... right, right, right..... (looks around hurriedly). Whiteside's still in the plans right! (hurriedly eats dinner)
This deadline is so fake. Are we really to believe that these GMs haven't contacted representatives? How exactly are these "meetings" arranged? So bogus. At least the Chandy meeting isn't a complete farce being on the west coast. 9PM can constitute a dinner talk. But are there really team reps waiting til midnight outside a restaurant in NYC to meet with free agents?
I don't think they're fake as much as veiled...having a deadline is about keeping the media out of the room until they're ready to make moves..GMs have ways of communicating with agents....3rd party, etc...I don't mind that end of it.
Do you guys think Olshey and co haven't looked into his injuries? If they're going after him, they must feel confident about it. It's not some reclamation project where they hope it works out. They're paying top dollar. There is no room for error.
So if it's Parsons, that has to mean Harkless isn't coming back. I don't see us giving Parsons 20-25 million and then turn around and give Harkless some big contract. Although, I'd still sign Hark and use him as a trade chip.
