We may not be his first choice, but that doesn't mean he doesn't want to come here. He'll be 36 next season. He's made a ton of money and will probably live like a King the rest of his life in the Canary Islands. Winning is probably the most important thing to him. What are our non KingSpeed chances of winning a title?
I wonder how much more he has left in the tank. He was one of the best in the biz for a long time but he's turning 36 in 3 days. Not really sure what the point is since we're not really making a title push.
My figuring, probably wrong: 4 years, $70M looks like this: If we need to come up with a $70M contract for Gasol (yeesh, that's a lot of years), my guess is Mo is the one we'd renounce.
Ezeli for an RFA offer if we go that route, not crazy about that. Trade for Kanter? lol his contract not lookin so ba HOW MUCH OF AN INCENTIVE LADEN CONTR that would be ridiculous to sign him to a FOUR yr deal at his age, if he gets 4 yrs IMO the price er yr goes way down - 4 yrs 40 mil max - more like 30 mil, 70 mil is a fukkin joke
FWIW, I don't think Gasol is going to choose based upon the biggest offer. He's made his $100M+ and seems more interested in being happy and having a chance at a championship. Starting and being respected are the things that seem to matter the most, as far as being happy goes.
It's simple...if they don't want to come here...they can fuck off. I'm still hoping we give Larry Sanders a shot for cheap, re-sign our free agents and call it a day
I was wondering how that may affect their cap situation unless Ginobili is planning on playing for the vet minimum.
Pau Gasol to play with KD. It's obvious. Pau is waiting for KD's decision. What a fucking joke waste of time this has been.
That is entirely true. But if he was in search for a ring, he'd be better off going to Golden State, San Antonio or Cleveland, not OKC.
I disagree, OKC almost and maybe shoulda beat GS without him, he's just be another nice add on assuming KD comes back
