With Rondo a Bulls will Bulls try to trade Calderon or just release him?

    Yes, it is.

The Bulls have had a good offseason so far. They've acquired valuable players without sabotaging long term plans.

This team probably has a 45-47 win ceiling this year and 50 million in Cap Space next year in a good FA class. As far as re-tools go, I'd say this one has been pretty successful.

The worst case scenario is that Rondo flames out and alienates himself from the team, in which case we'll still have the cap space and a good draft pick and we can let Rondo go next year.

One would think Rondo's arrival is good news for Doug, Niko, and Felicio. Hard to say what it'll mean for Hoiball in general, but that shouldn't be a large concern IMO.

Jose can hit the 3. So maybe we keep him and use him just for that?

Jose has great court vision too. I don't want him playing too many minutes at his age, though.

I'd guess Calderon is #2 on the PG depth chart right now, and Jerian Grant #3.

As fans we like to move on to the newest shiny thing, but coaches value reliability. I think the team's plans for Grant probably begin in earnest next year, with him getting spot minutes when guys go down in 2016-17.

Hopefully Calderon doesn't play through any injuries and stays fresh, giving Grant whatever time he can get.

If they want Wade then hopefully 1-year and the 2nd year with team option... like Rondo deal.

Would love to have Wade here. Good mentor for guys like Grant, Butler, McBuckets, Valentine....we will be paying out the ass for him if we do sign him though, be warned.
