That's the other fun thing. Westbrook played like a psychotic version of Magic Johnson two years ago. Now he gets to do it again.
It's too early to react to your snark....it was a smart move whether they took two seconds to think about it or not....glad my post has you laughing out loud though....I prefer talking with fans to talking at them....give it a try...acting isn't really a skillset I have
There was no balance in the 1980s, as you had superteams like the Showtime Lakers and Slowtime Celtics. Unless you mean two-team balance. As a basketball fan, it was amazing to watch those teams function like beautiful machines, though. I felt the same way about the Bulls in the 1990s, especially the Jordan/Pippen/Rodman version (since Rodman, in addition to being a great defender and rebounder also was a really good passer).
I said may... We gotta be honest, if this GSW is constructed the next 4-6 years... we have to have everything bounce our way... injuries to them (and none to us)... that is a legit super team. Dame and CJ can do a lot... but now it's 4 stars (2-3 superstars) plus the refs, every game? I am hoping against hope and we now resign ourselves to "luck" to win a ring in the next few years... to NO fault of our own.
You guys are missing the only good thing about this atrocity. Now the Oden pick doesn't hurt as much.
Great post...I felt this move was like the 90s Bulls as well....when Pat Riley said everyone was playing for second place until Jordan retired
This will drive change from the owners side of things. Sadly I think we have a few years until the next CBA and a likely lockout.
What happens to the warriors there going to have to gut there team. I don't know how many players but you know Barnes and Bogut is gone. Anybody that takes Bogut better ask for draft choices with him. Do I want Bogut no to injury prone for my taste.
In the game "Let it Ride" when you get a pair of 10's or higher in your hand, it's called a "no brainer". That's what this was. They didn't have to think. I'm not being snarky, I just think "smart move" is not the right word to give a franchise that did nothing but just be the team he chose, and being in the right situation.
Wow. It's going to be incredible to see. It screws the rest of the league, but I take great solace in the fact that LaMarshmallow will NEVER win anything now. His move to SA was for nothing. Also, I have disliked OKC for a long time. Kind of happy to see it. This move is incredibly destabilizing. Lots of teams will be pulling a Sixer and tanking. There will be A LOT of talent available for cheap. I say we try and go get some. We're young enough to be able to weather this (minimum) two year beatdown. On the flip side, if we would have honked twice, I don't think we could fathom the depths of our depression right now.
Also let's hope this was Olshey Tweet from Amico Sam Amico @AmicoHoops One NBA team exec who says he was previously interested in trading for Andrew Bogut texts he's no longer interested. "I'm not helping them."
Yep, this is awful for the league. Even though they won 73 games last year, there was still parity. Now it's all gone. Bron might be the only player who can put a stop to this, but even he's about to turn 32 in December. These next 4-5 years could be pointless. As a die-hard Blazers fan, this is a bummer.
This is not going to be fun for Durant. There is no way Golden State will match or improve on last year's regular season. It's not going to happen. And we all know how fans overreact. Warrior fan boys are going to torch Durant.
yeah, a team like Dallas has NO chance and should simply blow it up, same for Houston, and OKC should get what they can for Westbrook
