Westbrook is reportedly not interested in signing an extension so okc will likely deal him. Where to? Either way, we will be better than okc.
If we can keep our RFA's I will be pretty happy. We are in a good position. CJ is going to improve a lot still, Dame will continue to improve just not at huge intervals. I really think Harkless can be a big time player, he showed so many flashes of being really good last year. Because we are young, I only see our team getting better, not worse. Golden State made most of their rise from their young players developing. AI and Bogut were key additions, but not the main pieces. Why not us?
Serious question, do the Mavs have a gm? I always figured it was just Cuban calling all the shots. I mean has anyone looked at their draft history the past ten years? Yikes. They also should've started a rebuild last summer.
The mavs won a title the last decade. Enough said. I would trade whatever for one title in my lifetime. 15 years of lottery hell for 1 year of a title.
Westbrook: I am not signing here next year, so trade me. I only want to go to the Lakers OKC: They have nothing we want. Westbrook: Then you'll get nothing when I sign as a FA with them next year
He could. But okc is gonna trade him now because he wont commit to an extension. Lakers could trade for him now and get it over with.
No duh. They would take something over nothing. I meant that it just looks like garbage no matter what they would get.
If im the lakers, yes. Because they have bungled everything in the past few years. At least if they traded for him theyd have him in his hometown a year and would be able to offer those 7.5% raises.
If I am the Lakers I offer them DeAngelo Russell right now. He is not part of their future. As well as their 2017 pick. No one else that is effects their future.
It A) Depends on how much the Lakers want him and B) How much of a market develops for his services. If the Lakers legitimately believe they can get him for nothing then they should go for it, but I suspect quite a few teams that perceive themselves as logical landing spots for him in free agency are going to be willing to at least part with a young player or pick.
The Clips have a better chance of retaining him. What if: CP3 to Cleveland Kyrie to OKC Westbrook to LAC. That really hits every team's needs. Paul is in the same window as the Cavs. Kyrie is young and would fit well with Oladipo. Westbrook is right in the same window as Blake and Jordan. Reminds me of the Marbury to NJ/Sam Cassell to Milwaukie, and Terrell Brandon to Minnesota.
