BTW, Turner is coming up on the Chris Mannix show in ten mins. http://www.nbcsportsradio.com/

He doesn't usually filter his words, so we'll see if he leaks anything.

    Ok this is weird.

Here's the same pic from the Blazers IG acct:

That background shirt is blacked out.

Well, yes kinda - he wasn't available for a big payday this summer like Meyers was/is. People said Meyers was gonna get MAXed out this summer, so we better trade him so we don't lose him for nothing. So far, that doesn't look like it's going to happen. So my point was that I don't think it's a valid claim to make regarding Meyers, and that if he does get paid next summer it will be because he finally turned the corner and will have earned a big contract...in which case it would be an awful idea to dump him for nothing now.

I don't wanna move anybody for Ezeli. But I do think that, at some point this season, we need to trade Davis or Plumlee, and I wouldn't be opposed to trading both. Davis is the least skilled big on the team, and may bring back the most value since he's not expiring like Plumlee - so he'd be my first choice. But if we can get more value from Plumlee then shop him.

I agree, if he's not going to be ours then trade him. But I think he should be ours..... long term. I could be wrong, but I would be more comfortable seeing how he improves over the next year before unloading him. Get me a lottery pick and I will change my mind. But that won't happen. It will be protected.

True, although Durant could just do another 2yr w/opt-out deal, and do a 4 year w/7.5% raises deal the next year with the early bird rights that the Warriors would have gained by then.

It's not the same shirt. One has a zipper, one does not. Plus I doubt Ezeli put on an earring after not wearing it on the plane.

Oopps never mind. I see you guys are talking about the guy in the corner of the photo.

I'm probably in the minority on this one, but I have a huge soft spot in my heart for guys who can play 20mpg with a 20PER and plus defense against big men, and can shoot 60% on the few shots he does get. Especially on a supremely team-friendly contract.

Now, if a late lotto pick's coming back, I think that's the right price. Since it's not, please keep Ed.

I'd trade Mo and Myers for Ezeli IF we still had Mike Rice on TV mispronouncing his name over and over and over...

    Hello darkness, my old friend
The problem with that is the cap is expected to peak next off-season and then actually drop in the years after. I'm not completely sure about why that is, but I remember a Zach Lowe article when he talked about that. I assume Durant will want to cash in next off-season.

Latest projection has cap going up to 102, then 108 then topping at 114.

Davis is one of the best offensive rebounders in the league and he loves Portland. Keep him.

The shirt isn't "blacked" out. The photo is cropped. That guy in the black jacket is in both pics. It's just Ezeli has been cropped out.

Good call. Are we trying to make something of nothing here?
