    Roughly translated:
"Starting a 20y/o PF with limited experience was probably sub-optimal for our winning percentage"

Both of those are established facts from last season though. But do you mean that we are keeping Al Farouq being something he shouldn't have said?

I mentioned that it was ridiculous to compare Turner's stats to Henderson's because part of Turner's value would be how he will help Dame and CJ play better. That and how we needed a 3rd ball handler. And yes I said it on the 1st right after he committed to us.
Quite a few hours before Pizza guy told you the same thing.

Yeah, that stuck out to me too. Guess we're not pursuing Jared Sullinger.

Neil has gone out of his way NOT to put an expectation of wins on the Blazers. This time it just came right out. Not typical of him, that's all.

I think saying what he did was interesting, but not unexpected; we won at a 54-win pace from Christmas on. I think the expectation is pretty inherent in this season that 54 wins is our floor.

Ya, but I trust Pizza Guy :)

Honestly me questioning wasn't what you said. I had no idea it had been that long since he agreed with us.

Kingspeed, is that you? If Vegas is within 10 wins of that for our +/- I'd be shocked.

That might be 1 standard deviation above our projected wins actually. Personally I think this team's over/under from Vegas is going to be about 47 wins.

I'd still take the over on that, though it's not as much of a slam dunk as last year. The west got better and worse at the same time, in different ways, so I can't say if it'll be harder to assemble 54 wins or not.

A lot boils down to the health of other squads. I expect a fall off from OKC (but they'll probably still win 45), but I think Minny, New Orleans, Utah and maybe some mystery team are all much more competitive and giving us a run for our money.

OKC needs to trade RW. If they don't, they're even more foolish than I thought.

Yeah I think we forget that Neil got him at 10 AM on Friday morning. Right or wrong he got his man right away. Granted he probably wanted Whiteside and/or Parson a little more, but I think they identified ET as one of their main targets. He did not really whiff like some suggested.

If they don't get an extension done, then I'm sure they will.

He already turned down the extension. With the cap going up he would lose money by doing so.
    At least per ESPN radio........

It could be that they're more over a barrel than people think. Look at Ainge with the #3 pick, or CHI with Butler. :dunno:

If you were OKC, how low would you go to get something, anything! back for him?

Woj had also pegged Portland as a 50 win team
