I'm not insulting all conservatives when I say that Michael Savage is why abortions should be always be legal and easy to get.

 

Conservative is much worse. Think about all the negative connotations that come with being labeled a conservative these days.

Hates gays.

Isn't for women's rights.

Hates Muslims.

Wants to build a wall to keep out all the Mexicans.

What does being a liberal mean? You care too much about people?

 

And as a conservative who believes in a woman's right to choose, yet still thinks it's murder, I agree....as long as I don't have to pay for it.

 

In the pejorative? That we are beta cucks (there are much much worse words I could use here, but won't) who hate Jesus, hate family values, hate guns and hate people who own guns, who hate free speech and hate the US of A.

 

maybe i should change that with the "PC" Police. But quite often, the liberal side of folks are the ones pushing for this "safe space" mentality.

The word "liberal" itself never meant any of this. It was somehow co-opted and turned into something else entirely.

I probably should have used green font. I posted my "outrage" as a kind of meta joke about outrage culture -- every word is now problematic. Personally I don't think any word should be verboten, because I am a "liberal" in the libertarian classical sense of the word.

 

No, things won't change until prosecutors change. Most police could change their attitudes, but until right-wing prosecutors (all of them are right-wing) change their attitudes, police will still not be prosecuted.


Police kill 1000 people per year, 3 per day. That doesn't include deaths in jails and prisons. The media reports only a few of them.

No, it's because I choose not to get offended the vast majority of the time I'm here. Frankly, I've absolutely hated your avatar and what it says underneath since I first saw it. I have never and will never complain about it but it tells me everything I need to know about how you actually feel about women. Everything about it tells me what your intent is when you use those terms. SlyPokerDog does an outstanding job of moderating this zoo, stop making it harder on him.

 

Anyone who doesn't think race plays a factor into police shootings are kidding themselves. It's not because cops are racist, it's that society has these negative connotations and schemas with black people. Even a black cop would be prone to shooting a black dude. Everyone has these biases, and when split second decisions are to be made, these are the consequences.
