I saw an interesting writeup on the FaceBook that made me smile:

    What IF...?
Whiteside, now that Wade's gone, decides to pull a DeAndre and actually tells DAL he'll sign for their max? And DAL, while able to maybe still get Barnes, in no way can afford to trade for Bogut's contract. And now Durant can't sign with GSW, so he goes back to OKC for one year. But Ezeli has already signed here.

So that, on LeBron/Wade's "secret" plane flight, they found a way to weaken GSW and make Durant unhappy.

    Unfortunately, Barnes has already signed.

They need someone like Boston to help them out. The Lakers are pretty content on waiting until next year, thinking they can sign him with their cap space. NY might take a chance but won't offer Porzingis in case they can't resign Russ.

But maybe someone like Boston with still some extra picks next year and some younger players this year.....will take a chance.
Either way they are not getting much for him.

I still think a threeway with Kyrie going to OKC, Paul going to Cleveland, and RW going to the Clippers would make a lot of sense for all teams.

Well it's get something or nothing...like with Durant, but it's hard to look back a year ago, and say they should have traded him, because that would have been crazy at the time

If I were Kyrie in that situation, I'd be pissed

If they are in the mind set of just getting "something" for him......I would seriously think about sending him east for a year and hope he stays there. It will be painful enough when GS comes to town......

Evan Turner is 1 of 6 players w/350+ reb, 350+ ast and 2,000 min played over past two seasons (Harden, LeBron, Rondo, Wall, Westbrook).

I did not know they kept that stat.......

Except for the team that, ya know, is coming off a championship won off a big shot by the player you're suggesting they give up.

CP3 > Irving and it's not even close.

It does kind of make sense. But trades with three stars so rarely happen. The closest equivalent I can think of was Kemp -Baker-Terrell Brandon + Tyrone Hill, and that was a LONG time ago.

Also I can see CP3 not wanting to be traded because his kids are settled. He strikes me as someone whose family is very important to him.

Kyrie is still only 24. 7 years younger than CP3 and has hit big shots in the clutch in the finals. He is also a better outside shooter than CP3.

Now admittedly CP3 is a better true pG, but do you want/need that next to LeBron?

    Remember this one?

    Marbury to NJ
    Terrell Brandon to Minny
    Cassell to Milwaukee

Still, it makes absolutely no sense to trade the 2nd beast player on a team that just won the championship
