Boogie as well. With Dwight headed East, we only have a handful of elite centers to worry about. But watching Jordan kill us in the 1st round w/o Meyers was tough.
If we let Crabbe and Harkless go now, Sly and the other mods better get their fingers ready for banning me
seems a fairly decent contract if he can stay healthy, his shoulder does worry me but its not a killer contract, if Crabbe goes we do need some guys who can shoot it from outside and none of Plums/Davis/Ezeli can
So if we retain Crabbe and give CJ the max, and let Harkless go we'll be sitting like 3 mil below the luxury tax, and will have to let Plumlee go for nothing.
With Meyers in the lineup he significantly drops Jordan's defensive impact (even then, DJ is phenomenal at recovering still) since he will have to respect Meyers on the perimeter.
Meyers can't play good defense against Jordan because Meyers is awful at pick and roll defense. Jordan doesn't post up at all unlike Cousins or Gasol.
Sure he can. He can intentional foul with the best of them. He's a natural at it. He's so good at intentionally fouling he makes it look easy, like he's not even trying. BNM
That sounds about right. I don't remember the exact figure. If you like Meyers on the team, his shoulder injury was a blessing in disguise.
I'm not expecting miracles from him but considering all our power forwards and centers are currently at bargain deals (Davis $7M, Ezeli $7M, Plumlee $2M, Vonleh $1.5M, Aminu $7M), I can live with another rotation player at $10M a year. I imagine we might use him as a trade asset in the future and there will be no shortage of suitors.
There used to be a street named after Meyers Leonard, but it was changed because nobody crosses Meyers Leonard and lives. ...
