How about Kevin Love? I'm not suggesting I'm just asking.

Well, it appears I was wrong in my prediction, but after watching a disastrous free agency summer where we pick up middling guys like Ezeli and Turner, I do still wonder if it makes more sense to move CJ for a better fit. We're not acquiring great free agents, and we're not going to get great draft picks, so that leaves trading.

That's clearly not what we're planning on doing, though. Clearly the game plan is to surround CJ and Dame with as many defenders and rebounders as possible. We're doubling down on the early 2000's Sixers strategy, only instead of one Iverson we'll have two (just not as good, but with three point range).

It's a strategy that should result in exciting games, a lot of ticket sales, and a chance at a WCF's appearance or two (with the Rockets, Thunder, Mavs and Spurs all falling off it's a possibility). If CJ and Dame both become 25 ppg scorers there aren't a lot of better teams in the West.

Except of course the Warriors, who will cream everybody. We're all just playing for ticket sales.

So I'm wondering if Neil waits to extend CJ. His contract would be significantly easier to move at the current rate.

Whenever I see this thread back at the top I think of this scene from Austin Powers

Maybe not, but flexibility is key.

Sorry but anybody who doesn't see that Dame and CJ are paired together for years to come is an idiot. This trade CJ shit is ridiculous. This is our Curry and Klay. I am sure Warriors fans don't wanna trade off a Klay Thompson

    Klay Thompson is 6'7.

    CJ is 6'4.

Not only that, Klay Thompson just missed out on being on the All Defensive 2nd Team. No one is confusing CJ with anything close to that.

Are you ever going to stop talking about trading CJ? You've been at it constantly for months.

jesus christ. They average nearly the same numbers. Yes, Klay is a much better defensive player, CJ can create a shot better than Klay can. Klay has a better three point percentage but CJ isn't far behind. I mean wow thanks guys for pointing out he is taller. I had no idea...lol. Take things way too literally. The point is CJ isn't being traded. There is no reason to trade him. 2nd best back court in the league. Causes teams trouble.

So we trade him because he is 6'4 or we see how he actually plays and what he means to this team?

You don't trade this kind of players, you build around them. And if you think that only CJ can get you Boogie then think again. Probably need some picks and players also.

Only if you could get a real game changer for him. I have seen nerlens Noel proposals before on this forum...

I wouldn't trade him for Noel.

But I would trade anyone on the team if the deal makes sense. Even Dame, though it would take a LOT to get me to consider that kind of trade.
