There GM already talking about the pick roll with Simmons and Okafor I really doubt there consider trading him.
I don't and I don't believe we are interested in trading for him due to his trouble that he already been in.
I'd be willing to gamble Vonleh for Okafor, but I'm not wild about letting him and Aminu go. Landry is washed up. It seems that having Okafor, Ezeli, Davis, Meyers, and Plumlee is a big of a logjam of bigs, and somewhat limits our ability to be versatile with both big and small lineups. Okafor is also a dummy. He's an intriguing talent though.
Dumb enough to get into Duke So just to be clear, you're willing to part with Vonleh for Okafor, but nothing else?
Didn't he get into a street fight with a heckling fan last year? Twice? Stupid. I didn't say I was totally against it, just not crazy about it. I'd just like to think about it a bit more. If we're opening up other players for trade, it depends on who the other player packaged with Vonleh is. It seems to make more sense to trade another big given how many we currently have. If we know for sure have Harkless coming back, I'm more willing to consider trading Aminu. I can see the logic in it. I just like Aminu and feel it's kind of a cruel reward to send him to Philly after the role he played for us last season. I know this isn't part of the equation, I'm just being a fan. That aside, it still feels like we have more bigs than we have time to play them, and I'm not sure how exactly Okafor fits with this team. At this point though, I'm betting this conversation is moot. I'd be surprised if this trade talk goes anywhere.
Why would we land Okafar for that? He's a young guy on his rookie contract. #3 pick, very good offensively.
To get something you must give something up. I would have no probs giving up Aminu and Vonleh and btw it's going to take a lot more to make the deal for Okafor. And if he's available I'd def be listening. There is enough depth here to make something happen.
