FYI, ALOT of those names are not rock or RocknRoll. More like Blues. I named a couple of the top Blues, because they transcend, but I was speaking of best Rock guitarist, not overall guitarist.
This unit was 7th most used, about 130 minutes, had our best offense and a decent defense. Lillard-Henderson-Crabbe-Davis-Leonard 129.6 1.14 1.01 +39 16 12 57.1 This unit only played 96 minutes but had best win% (by far) of an unit.Had our best defense. McCollum-Crabbe-Harkless-Davis-Leonard 96.3 1.09 0.99 +23 14 5 73.6 This unit didn't do very well. Did the defense get that much worse by switching in Lillard for McCollum? Or just an anomaly, only 87 minutes. Lillard-Crabbe-Harkless-Davis-Leonard 87.8 1.00 1.12 -21 10 14 41.6 I don't think Ezeli and Leonard would be a good pairing defensively. Ezeli might be able to guard out on the perimeter, but obviously he is better guarding inside and I don't think it would be good for his knees to be moving around too much. Stotts has said he will be playing Aminu mostly at PF and I don't think the signing of Ezeli changes that. That's your starters. These statistics seem to show that Davis and Leonard should be the backup team. Much as I like Plumlee's overall game, he seems to be the odd man out. With Turner joining the team, Plumlee's passing may not be so important.
Oh god. Any RHCP after Blood Sugar Sex Magic is a travesty. They were the shit in the 80s when they worked with George Clinton though! Janes Addition was great because of Perry, not Dave. "Dave Navarro is a guitarist" would be a true statement. "Dave Navarro is one of the best guitarists ever" is not a true statement, and is proof that opinions can be wrong.
http://www.rollingstone.com/music/l...ts-of-all-time-19691231/duane-allman-20101202 I certainly don't agree with much of the ordering of this list, but nary a Navarro mention...
Def, thier best albulm, but ONe Hot minute is up there and so is Stadium Arcadium. Personal preference though. Rolling Stone? Your post just lost asll Cred. COme on. ROlling Fing Stone? LMAO. At least go with Guitar Monthly or something. ROlling Stone is a laughing stock when it comes to musical lists. ask almost any musician.
I'm confused. Our front court plays guitar? Our front court...is better than last year. Our front court ...is deep enough and good enough to fuel endless trade talk, especially after Dec. 15th when guys on new contracts can be traded. Ezeli & Crabbe for Boogie? Not enough? CJ, Ezeli and filler? Endless hours of trade debates await this board.
I agree that RS is shit - it was just the first list that popped up. Still - out of 100 guitarists there's no mention of Navarro. He's a guitarist, and better than many people in the world, but by no means special. There are probably 20-100 people in Portland that are better guitarists.
Steve Morse, Steve Howe. Two guys better than your whole list. Maybe not better than Beck, but probably. Skunk was pretty awesome.
I like them both but Joe Pass and Segovia would differ with this opinion..should add Django Reinhart and Tony Rice as well
Where's Santana on this list? I'm putting him on there right now! Alvin Lee too..as well as Terry Kath from the original Chicago lineup
If Leonard improves his defense, then Vonleh is probably out of luck except for garbage time. Vonleh still hasn't proven that he can play at the NBA level, so if Leonard becomes playable on defense, he becomes a valuable member of the team and there isn't room for Vonleh after Ezeli, Plumlee, Davis and Leonard, not to mention Aminu getting some minutes at power forward. If Leonard doesn't improve on defense, then he's largely unplayable and the Blazers might as well give Vonleh some playing time behind Ezeli, Plumlee and Davis, because Vonleh has some potential to be solid defensively.
