The foundation for being a fan is hoping the team wins. If the team has no realistic chance of winning, hoping they are bad enough to get a lot better, so they can win, is what a fan should want. A fan should not want their team to win 41ish games each year and get the 6th to 8th seed. A fan also has favorite players, and players they don't like. I am a fan of the TrailBlazers. I hope the Blazers win a championship every year. I don't have to like certain players. Nor do I have to like the way certain players I think are really nice play.
To me, being the best isnt about how fast you go or how much you can shred. Its how many emotions can that player bring out of me. Harrison sang with his guitar. More guitar players would do good by studying him. Gilmore is another example and I see him on most lists. He is not even close to a slasher or great technical guitar player, but he sings with the instrument.
I'd have preferred Felton played better. Like he did with the Knicks after we traded him. Or even better than that.
MM? When you gonna come out of thew closet and divulge your secret crush on ML? When his hair is long enough for you to Salivate over?
Listen to Something, or While my guitar gently weeps. He makes his guitar talk to you. The emotion comes out in his playing. That takes a ton of talent.
I honestly don't understand how you (or other posters) get this impression that MM doesn't want Leonard to get better. Everyone wants our players to get better. Maybe we don't think certain players will get better, or even believe certain players can get better, but I seriously doubt there's anyone in this forum who doesn't want players to get better. @Mediocre Man wants Leonard to learn to play defense. @Tunchi wants Dame to be more efficient with his shot selection. @STOMP wants Turner to improve his outside shot. @Rastapopoulos wants Connaughton to be able to convert his athleticism to actual NBA-level skill. @jlprk wants Vonleh to develop a legit offensive game. I will guarantee you every poster in this forum who criticizes a player does so because he wants that player to improve the area of critique.
Or traded. I will guarantee you every poster in this forum who criticizes a player does so because he wants that player to improve the area of critique. Or get traded.
100% agree... except. I think Ive actually read where MM wants Meyers to not get better? Maybe wrong. At any rate, I agree. I just like giving MM crap, because he is wrong about so many a great things!!! LOL. And Ive come to believe he doesn't take this seriously, just like me. He is one of the few I think who has come to understand I'm excitable, but still don't take this serious. So I poke.
You've read others say I don't want him to get better. I don't think he will, then again, he's not the waste of skin I thought he'd be.
Only because so many in here will see 1 play in 1 playoff game and bring it up 2 years later proclaiming he is so much better defensively or some shit like that.
I know I said that. Waste of skin to below average NBA player with no defensive skills (queue BNM) He's way better than I thought he'd be
