God please guys stop posting the stupid false memes into the forums. We see enough of that stupid shit on Facebook.
The astronaut was interesting, but what was she doing there? Her experience as fighter pilot qualified her to be an astronaut, but the Republican platform explicitly states women should be barred from such jobs, and VP nominee Mike Pence opposes women in the military at all. He said the sexual assaults of military women wouldn't have happened if the women hadn't been in the military. (They also would not have happened had the men not been there...) The Ryan budget drastically cuts NASA, the Republican ideology is federal programs, except military, are bad. They also want to eliminate all NASA funding to study Planet Earth since global warming is a hoax and undermine scientific literacy by teaching bible in science class. If the Trump/Pence ticket wins there will be no more women astronauts. A convention is a performance. Professionals, whether actors, singers, dancers, make sure everyone is rehearsed from stars to back row of chorus and knows their role. Ted Cruz? Again, if you can't run your own convention, how do you run the country? Pence proved he has what it takes. Being an antigay, misogynist. labor-hating, cut taxes on the rich and benefits for the poor, science denying shill for the tobacco industry is a good start, but the real test is can you make shit up about Hillary Clinton? Like saying she said "what difference does it make" if Americans are killed in Benghazi. Actually, after hours of testimony, she was asked over and over what triggered the attack and finally said if it was a video or something else that made people want to attack the consulate, "what difference does it make?" The important thing is to bring the attackers to justice and make sure such attacks on consulates don't happen again. The opposite of saying "what difference does it make" if people were killed. But hey, fact optional! http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...ences-false-claim-about-clintons-role-and-re/ Ann Coulter gave a private talk to the California delegation about how white people have to vote in greater numbers. She recently scribbled a new book kissing Trump's "awesome" (her word) ass. Apparently white people have to keep the country from becoming a hellhole like California where "200 languages" are spoken. Odd, since Californians in their majority think the state is going in the right direction and are more optimistic about the future, despite drought, tight housing, traffic, etc., than the country as a whole. In 200 languages.
Some are, some aren't. Most vote democratic party, regardless of whether that party promotes an agenda that's in their interest. Not saying republicans are better. Not only did W hire Rice and Powell, he also appointed hispanics to high positions, including atty. general. You can't say they're not trying. And minstrel's meme was bullshit. FACT.
Yes they do. And the polls say blacks want school choice so their kids can go to an actually good school, but you know who opposes that. They really ought to figure out how to get their representatives to act in their interest instead of voting for the least offensive of the two parties.
This Year’s RNC Has the Lowest Share of Black Delegates at Any GOP Convention in a Century At last official count, there were expected to be a total of 18 black delegates at the Republican National Convention this week. Yes, eighteen, or roughly 0.7 percent of the 2,472 national delegates in Cleveland. http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slat...s_at_the_gop_convention_according_to_the.html
LOL indeed. Khalaf says that people of color just don't have access to these internships and, while I'm sure he's right that white people are much more likely to get these due to institutional racism, the picture of Democratic interns is accurate, undercutting the implication that both parties are to blame for not encouraging diversity. Also, saying that that the Ryan picture is meaningless because it was open to all interns, is like saying that Trump's crowd being almost 100% white doesn't reflect a lack of diversity for Trump supporters because it's open to both people of both parties. Sure, a few curious Democrats may be in both groups, but Trump is going to attract Trump supporters and Ryan is going to attract mostly Republican interns, a point Snopes felt it was necessary to point out to people who don't grasp the obviousness of that. So a group largely made up of Republican interns was almost purely white, while the group of Democratic interns had many more people of color. Clearly, this is an issue with both parties.
You're so adorable when you get angry over your trolling being contradicted. Hint: when you're trolling, you're not supposed to get upset. You're supposed to get the other person upset.
Snopes said exactly what I said. That the Democratic picture is completely genuine and the Republican picture is slightly misleading because it wasn't strictly Republican interns but (Snopes said this too) you'd expect it to be majority Republican. Sorry, man. I know you want this not to be like it is, but it do.
You have no clue how many of those interns in the one picture are republicans. The meme is not factual, and Snopes said so. it's not accurate to classify this photograph as an image specifically showing only Republican interns (it is not accurate means not factual)
Even with you cutting out the part inconvenient to you, that sentence says a lot of it: "not accurate to classify as specifically only Republicans." Technically inaccurate, but mostly accurate. You want your Snopes link to be a shocking exposé, but it really just reinforces the point: Republicans really don't cultivate or encourage much diversity, while the Democrats do a better job of it. I'm sure there's room to improve for both parties (I in no way think Democrats are free of institutional racism or systemic bias), but the gap is a bit of a chasm for Republicans at the moment. It is what it is--they may get better at it once they've come out of Trump-induced madness.
Let's cut it down to the two key words: "NOT ACCURATE." It doesn't matter how you or they add spin to it. Blacks vote Democrat by big %. That cannot be denied. Trump makes the case that Obama and Democrats have failed blacks on jobs and crime (and I'd add police brutality). He's certainly right, but he's not at all attractive as an alternative to black voters. That said, they should vote for the status quo if they're satisfied. Nothing is going to change if you don't change something. Vote Gary Johnson.
It is, though. Even Snopes notes that in all the ways that matter, it's accurate. The fact that a few white Democrats were mixed into Ryan's crowd doesn't change the underlying point about lack of diversity on the Republican side of the aisle. That's the perception that barfo was talking about that you pretended to be confused by.
