Hillary Clinton has officially chosen Virginia Senator Tim Kaine as her running mate. A somewhat safe but smart choice.

I have nothing against him, but he's not the uber-lefty I was hoping for.

He's gonna appeal to southern democrats, mainly Florida, the Carolinas, and his home state.

He's going to help Hillary win Virginia, and because of that maybe the election. The last four elections whoever has won Virginia has won the election.

The last poll in VA of likely voters is a tie.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Trump's selection of Pence was so safe and non-descript, Clinton didn't think she needed to take a risk, so she took the safest of the main choices on her list. I think Kaine is a better pick mostly because he's from a battleground state, whereas Pence is from Indiana...if Indiana becomes a battleground state, Trump has already lost and the question will only be "by how much?"

Pence was picked to run the country. Like Obama, Trump has no experience in the executive branch of a state or federal government.

I think Pence is meh. Kasich, the only republican I actually liked out of all of them, turned it down.

If Trump wins, Paul Ryan will "run the country" isofar as Trump lets anyone else's philosophies dictate. Pence was really just a bone Trump threw to the Republican establishment.

It doesn't work that way. Obama had Rahm Emmanuel and Biden to negotiate the bills he wanted with congress. Rahm from the House, Biden from the Senate.

Rahm did for the country what he's done for Chicago. Nobody after he left the White House did any better.

Republican politicians seem to be hoping/betting that Trump will be malleable in office, lacking any major convictions of his own. That may or may not be true. If it is true, the one doing the molding will be Paul Ryan, the recognized thought leader for the GOP. It's his agenda that the Republicans want at all costs. If it isn't true, I really don't see Pence being that effective in whipping support for a "Trump agenda" if it doesn't comport with the Ryan agenda. Not for any particular failing in Pence, just because the Republican Senate and House are very set on their agenda and have no great love for Trump overall (obviously, some do but they seem to be a decided minority and aren't the leaders of either body).

How much longer do you think this country will survive under uber left policies? You do know that 19T is how far down the tube we are? That is way down there, perhaps too far too come back.

Not much longer; that's always been the plan for America under uber left policies--live fast, die young.

Wait, was I not supposed to give that away before the election?
