Debbie Wasserman Schultz said she would step down at the end of the convention, a move that aimed to put an end to the scandal threatening an uneasy truce within the fractured party.
I have voted as a Democrat in every election since I turned 18. It is not going to happen this time. Of course, I also think Trump is a human garbage pile. I lean on the progressive side, and give me as much shit as you want, but I thought Bernie's campaign, even it it ultimately failed, would have injected some progressive values into the system. Boy was I wrong. This election has me feeling very disenfranchised with our current two party system. And I'm sure that I am not alone in this regard. The best we can do is Hillary vs Trump? Really? The DNC has shot itself in the foot. And right after all of this goes down and DWS resigns, Hillary hires her for her campaign? This is the most tone deaf political move I have ever witnessed, aside from Ben Carson ever thinking he had a chance to run this country..hehe. This is how you get Donald Trump.
You are not alone, our political system is broken. There where no good choices in this election, from the start, from either party. I truly feel sorry for our younger generations, you deserve better than this.
Duh. The thing is, there are a few sides to the electronic age. 1. They can't keep this shit hidden anymore. 2. Apparently they don't even care. 3. Everyone is too busy playing Pokemon to notice.
A little off topic: I moved to Walla Walla Washington a bit over a year ago. When I moved out, I was pretty politically involved, a lefty with a few caveats but I vote every year and have kept myself very informed over relevant issues every year. But, moving out here I lost much of my passion for politics, and will frequently go weeks without reading about national politics or follow ongoing news stories. I don't know if it's because I am now in a relatively small town, because I'm back in school full time, or because I work full time and am just busy. But for whatever reason, I just don't see the national political scene as being of much importance anymore. Will I vote this year, maybe, likely will, but if I'm busy I could see it just skipping by. Part of that might be that I'm not a big Hillary fan, but part of it is just the realization that I don't matter, that it's pretty much all decided ahead of time.
OT- Can you change your signature? I spend more time watching that, than I do on the rest of the forum. Whew.....
