Bill and Ted. It has to be after they went on their Excellent Adventure, though. I'd wanna take their advice.

For real; Griffey, Jimmy Page, JFK, or Elon Musk in no order.

This has gone way beyond one person.

Some years ago some friends and I played the "Ten Dinner Guests" game. If you could invite ten people to dinner, who would they be? All interpreters provided and food they would eat. I am trying to remember my list:

John Lennon, Carl Sagan, Leon Trotsky, Anne Frank, Helen Keller, Marie Curie, "Lucy", Malcolm X - can't remember who else. I think now I'd add Malala Yousafazi and (no one mentioned him!) Paul Allen. Crap, doesn't anyone else want to pump his brain about Blazers plans?

But still leaves out interesting people and I have to admit is sadly Euro-Centric.

Who are your ten dinner guests?

Marie Curie would definitely give the dinner party a nice glow. ;)

I'll do mine in interesting pairs. These aren't necessarily the greatest in their fields; just people that I'd love to sit back and watch talk with one another.

For music: George Harrison and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. I bet they'd rock each other's worlds.

For inquisitive minds: I'll take Ben Franklin and Thomas Edison.

For popular culture: David Letterman and Jerry Seinfeld.

For the "What's it all about?" category: Dietrich Bonhoeffer and Christopher Hitchens.

For political discourse: Winston Churchill and Thomas Jefferson.

I want crandc to plan and prepare the menu. Should be quite a party.

e_blazer, you are asking me to prepare a dinner for 10 men????

Actually like your idea of pairs.

I almost left off Curie due to her extreme shyness in company. But I figure Carl Sagan could set her at ease.

You inspired me to look up Bonhoeffer. Had not previously heard of him.

Hmm. Valid objection, crandc. Please forgive my tendency towards sexism. I could easily bump Edison out and bring in Curie. I bet she and Ben would get along well. I could let Jerry Seinfeld stay home and add Tina Fey. I wouldn't mind replacing Bonhoeffer with Mother Teresa. And forget that old curmudgeon Churchill and throw in Golda Meir. Gotta stick with Harrison and Mozart, however. That's one pair that I just think would be a hoot.
