    So, if I'm understanding this right, first we have to decode this and figure out if this is really a message from an alien civilization capable of building a Dyson sphere. Then we have to come up with a way to focus a high energy reply in their direction (thank goodness we don't have to build a Dyson sphere ourselves. We can't even build a wall along our southern border.) Then we have to send the message, probably saying, "Hi there! We're your dumb-shit cousins who can't even build a Dyson sphere. Just thought we'd introduce ourselves. Please don't eat us." Then we sit back and wait 95 years for the message to get there and who knows how many more generations for a response.

    We've really got to get cracking on the sub-space communication system. And the warp drive and phasers.

    I have to be honest.... if we ever receive a generic message from an alien civilization, I vote not to respond back. It's possible they are just spamming the message (much like how we do it) and responding back might give them a new target.
