The Cowboys held their first training camp at Pacific University. They belonged to us before they belonged to Texas. Niners or Seahawks ever hold a training camp in Oregon?

Sorry I'm a little late to this thread.

I haven't read the entire thread, but as a 9er fan, I thought I'd give my take.

Firstly, NO, I do not support him whatsoever. There were many better and more proper ways to address this issue, and he failed to consider that.

Secondly, he's denounced an entire employment sector by calling them murderers, pigs, and killers, and then tried to go back and sugarcoat what he's said. But I'm not buying it, and neither are a lot of people.

His sugarcoat argument has been "look, I'm calling out the bad cops, the corrupt ones". Well, you see Colin, there's a BIG problem with that: cops don't wear signs that say "hey, I'm a bad cop", or "hey, I'm a good cop". They all wear ONE uniform, and ONE badge, and they all swore the SAME oath.

So yes, you ARE lumping in all of them, by your words and your actions.

I've already turned in the one Kaepernick shirt I had to the Goodwill. Hopefully, it will go to clothe someone less fortunate than the guy who's image and number are on it.

I've been arguing with fellow fans over on Niner Nation SB blog, and it's very divided over there right now, and it's not pretty.

Unfortunately, it seems Kap's little protest is spreading like a cancer. Which is great....just what we need: SJWs taking over our sports with Politics and exaggerated Social Issues. God forbid I have ONE day a week where I get to watch a fucking game without being bombarded by politics or social issues. No no, can't have that, can we?

I fear in the coming years, there's going to be political signs and protest banners in bars and lounges in this country. Or vacations spots. Because God forbid we have a little peace and quiet from it.

It's already happening at the ONE cigar lounge I like to go to when the weather's bad. They have two TVs there that are ALWAYS turned to politics, with blowhards yammering away about who's more corrupt or some shit. What, now I can't smoke a fucking cigar in peace? Has it come to this?

I love this country, but I fear where it's going.

Go Gabbert. Shut these assholes up. Hopefully by this time next year, Colin will be out of the league. I'm so embarrassed that I supported him for so long.

Its Steven A Smith clone of Spike Lee. I can't stand him. When "first take" comes on we all should sit and ignore his broadcast. Bayless and this schmoe can be canned for all I care. Non athletes are not experts on sports. They are merely egotists.

    >I'm a Ravens fan. You may not enjoy that/ However, Bal-SF reciever Antwan Boldin devoted his efforts to helping poor people through his foundation without a media window He has a grip on helping less fortunate while 7 focused on himself in a 49er uniform. Playmakers_Header_16.jpg

Very true. Boldin is an absolute beast on the field, and a total gentleman off of it. Unlike Colin, he's not a selfish douche. I have nothing but the upmost respect and admiration for Boldin. I'm glad he found a team to play with this season (was it the Lions?).

White people to BLM: PROTEST PEACEFULLY!!

Man sits quietly and protests the racist national anthen (look up all the verses) and media blows it up.

White people: That's not the right way to protest.

The problem is not the way we protest, it's the fact that we protest at all.

Good for them. Even though I don't like them, I'm glad they did this. God forbid someone actually exercise their 1st ammendment right. For those talking about disrespect to the military, they are fighting for the right to stand OR sit. Like it's been said earlier in the thread, people in the concourse hardly acknowledge it. Why don't they stop selling beer and concessions when the anthem plays? :dunno:

If you want to live in a country where it's a requirement that you stand and salute the flag, move to North Korea.

Yup. It's only white people who are saying these things. Just those damn ignorant white people. Nobody else. And there's no white people who support him either. All white people are against Colin Kaepernick and against BLM. If white people would just quit being the only racist assholes left on the planet, maybe we could finally achieve world peace!

Well, no surprise YOU feel this way. You have a history of blaming white people for the woes of society. While you're painting murals of dead criminals on brick walls, we're moving forward with our lives.

    LOL you are so predictable.

Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof thro' the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore dimly seen thro' the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected, now shines on the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner: O, long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion
A home and a country should leave us no more?
Their blood has wash'd out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave:

And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

O, thus be it ever when freemen shall stand,
    Between their lov'd homes and the war's desolation;
Blest with vict'ry and peace, may the heav'n-rescued land
Praise the Pow'r that hath made and preserv'd us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust"
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Typical bullshit by you..... He's singing about fighting and winning slaves (and mercenaries) that were hired to battle by the British. You can interpret that however you like, however we all know what you'll do.

"It doesn't appear that Francis Scott Key ever specified what he did mean by the phrase, nor does its context point to a single, definitive interpretation."

It probably refers to the British offering freedom to American slaves if they fought against the Colonials. They had mercenaries, American Indians, and African slaves fighting for them.

Exactly. They were offered freedom from their oppressors. Something Francis Scott Key vehemently disagreed with.
