Other cops show up and kill the man who is holding an unloaded gun. Non-shooting officer is fired because he "put two other officers in danger". As long as threat-elimination protocol is elevated over legitimate situation analysis and response, I don't see how things will ever get better.
I agree. As do I think the majority of people on here. A lot of us have said that the training needs to change.

Umm, they blew up a guy who they had cornered not too long ago. I just saw a badass armored police truck on my way home, hadn't seen it before. I knew we had one, just never saw it. I have no desire to catch any attention from the cops.
Just saw a clip from Phoenix of someone running over three cops standing by a cop car. Just ridiculous.
