Dewayne has been named Chief Marketing Officer of the Blazers. He was VP of digital media, and then VP of brand strategy and digital.

I have found the Blazers to be an outstanding organization, from top to bottom. This is a well run, 21st century franchise.

    My personal congratulations to Dewayne!

Of course you'd think that - your board is the official board of the Portland Trailblazers.

    If I didn't like them, we wouldn't.;)

I can honestly say I have been nothing but impressed in all my dealings with anyone in the organization. And watching it operate as a fan.

    Congrats Mr Hankins!

I've had the pleasure of meeting Dewayne a few times, very smart man. The front office team that he's assembled is the best in all of professional sports.

Just giving you grief! Wasn't necessarily doubting the validity of the statement, but I wouldn't expect you to say anything different, either!

I would say nothing. I am being sincere. I also don't consider this site as something I own. More like I am just managing things for all our benefit.

as anyone with a modest amount of knowledge of history knows, the death knell of communism is always the fact it ends up being non profit...;) :P

A management class of rich people is unnecessary. An economy should be a pure meritocracy, without gilded Trumps born into power. Denny should be run out of town. Only rich Libertarians would put a man named Dewayne in charge.

You just want Denny to move to Bellingham from San Diego....an interesting option but poor Libertarians are the new silent majority

Remember the principle which governs the universe:
For every piece of good news, there's one of bad news.
Whenever someone is promoted, someone else loses some power.

Who ran the marketing before Dewayne? And why didn't they pick some macho man named Rocky?
