Maybe it's a bit of a cop-out, but as of right now I'd say that they're pretty equal. Paul is a much better defender, while I'd give Dame the edge offensively.

Why? Dame shoots more often, but Paul shoots a better percentage, shoots similarly from 3, is a better ball-handler, and a better distributor. What exactly does Dame do better on the offensive end?

    This:

You're a number-cruncher, Platy. I'm a seat-of-the-pants fan. Paul may shoot a better percentage, but I'd venture that's exactly because he's not called upon to carry as much of the scoring load as Dame. Paul is able to limit his shots primarily to open looks, while Dame is usually double teamed. I expect to see Dame's percentages rise this year as he's able to play off the ball more. But, as demonstrated in the clip above, when the game is on the line and you need a shot from deep, Dame's my pick to take the shot.

Clips are in the same boat as UTA with all their free agents. This truly is a make or break season for that team.

CP, JJ, Blake are all unrestricted free agents at the end of the season, and if they still can't get past the second round, that team is primed to break apart. Hell, if they're middling in the west by the deadline, I'd expect them to start making moves.

We have no FA money obviously, but keep a serious eye on Blake and his history with Neil.

They worked together and he never punched him. So, there's that.

    Reggie is whack.
Best leader in the league over CP3's time in the NBA has been Duncan.
I like CP3, I think he's a fiery competitor and would punch his own mother to win a game.
But he's not even top 10 leaders in the NBA and it's not close.
I personally think you put John Wall on the Clippers and they are far and away better than they are with CP3.

Has Paul hit a 0.9 second game winner? No, well then he can fuck off

Has Dame started an all-star game? Been 1st-team all NBA? Led the league in assists?

    Let's not be silly.

Is a 1.0 second Game 7 series winner close enough?

Not a big CP3 fan. Love the talent, hate the nonstop bitching and dirty play. Just trying to be objective.

No, cause of bias. He should have the first two under his belt already. It seems like when it comes time to select all stars and the end of season awards, the Blazers get the shaft.

Really, because of bias. Tell me which all star game Dame should have started, and which year he should have been all NBA first team?

    I'm listening.

    It's just a crazy cycle.

In 05, Martell had an amazing predraft workout, so much so that even PA was impressed, and we took him.

In 07, fresh of the failure that was the Martell pick, we gave no credence to KD's amazing workout and drafted Oden instead.

Finally in '12 with a shot at redemption, we went back to that well and picked Dame after his "KD-esque" workout, and sure enough.... it worked out.
