my point was that it's not really someone who is "left" who does this (just as someone who is a complete nut job and on the "right") doesn't represent the right or the left.
case in point a friend of mine (who is a conservative christian) is convinced that vaccines are "poisons", and if you asked her and recorded her, you'd think she was a complete nutter. She doesn't represent the right.
Yes. We would love to it work like that. Except in this day and age the far-left (which I believe this lady fits into) is spilling out more and more into the regular left circles, case in point are all of the SJW movements on the college campuses, etc. But THIS discussion is probably better suited for another topic/thread. Anti-Vaxxing, doesn't equate to censorship, violence when you disagree, and other such behavior that the far-left is doing. From my POV its apples to oranges.
Flipping a stranger off is a high risk move....I learned that jogging in San Diego shortly after being discharged from the Navy....guy in a Pinto almost ran over me at a stop light when I had the right of way...I flipped him off and he stopped his car, got out and turned out he was a drill sgt from Camp Pendelton boot camp with a baseball bat.....I ran a 3 minute mile that day...never flipped anybody off in seriousness again....but my New York friends say it's like going for a cup of coffee in the Big Apple....you can flip off a cop there they say
An amusing riposte, to be sure, but not accurate in my perhaps biased opinion. I am a liberal, and some liberals are (deeply? overly?) concerned about intolerance. I'm not one of them, I don't think.
