I'm almost sure we had the exact same thread at the beginning of last season too and i think it was after a Suns game as well.

Please never use Meyers as an example of a player attacking the basket.

Pretty lucky to not be 0-5. The Jazz were without 2 of their best players and 3 of their top 8. The Nugs had a massive meltdown. This start could be worse.

Right now it is about 2 1/2 on 5 every night. That may change with more growth and learning curve but no one respects Portland's lack of size or that none of the front court can score.

Back to the 'size' element. If you go small, you have to be able to score. Since the entire front court is devoid of much of that ability, the deficit on defense is even more noticeable.

That is a bit of a worry. A lot of players got paid and I don't see the same effort as last year except from Dame.

I thought roster continuity was suppose to work in our favor this season? But I suppose working one (ONE!) new player into the rotation - off the bench - has really muddied the waters with regards to the role each player is suppose to play.

Well, I can take solace knowing that I at least have company on the "Stotts Ain't So Great" wagon.

I like Stotts....no complaints about his style of coaching....poor shooting and missed defensive assignments ....sure...the season is just starting and I didn't go into this season expecting to dominate the West out of the gate...I've been a Blazer fan for decades....we'll get better with a few games under our belt

Not elite ones though. Man I hope Ezeli stays healthy. I think that might solve everything on D. It will allow other guys to play more natural positions and not have to worry about the paint.
ET had 10 rebounds last night. Our guards are rebounding way too much. They should be heading back on offence with our big's rebounding and kicking it out. I think this is a huge issue.
Until we can have a defensive presence that can rebound in the paint, everyone else on the team is not going to be playing their game because they are compensating. Fucks everything up.
An inside presence will open everything up for everyone else, and I mean on D. It will then translate to more fast breaks too.

I heard a rumor that someone was fixing jlprk up with Evan Turner's 104-year-old gramma. Can anyone confirm?
