I have a feeling dem voters may have even had a hand in all this. All that talk of "the GOP is dead and can never recover" likely pissed a lot of people off to cast spite votes. When one side gets too cocky it seems like the american people have a way of shutting that down every 4 or 8 years.
the house and senate are going to push trump to be hyper conservative. Nothing is off the table. I've said it before but I'm more worried he won't be able to stop THEM.
You're all racist xenophobic hilters! :MARIS61: Yeah, great way to not make conservative voters show up to shut y'all the fuck up. The ownage was infinite.
HAHAHAHAHA http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/305133-pollsters-suffer-huge-embarrassment Liberals lashed out at data guru Nate Silver for giving Trump a 35 percent chance of victory heading into Election Day, claiming he was putting his thumb on the scale for Trump by making the race appear closer than it was.
That's possible. I really hope we don't see a bunch of anti-gay rights, or anti-minority. I'm hoping they focus on the economy.
Trump doesn't give a shit, he'll push what he wants to push. I don't see him doing any anti-gay stuff. Anti-muslim stuff may come out as well as anti-illegals which will lead to tensions in the latino communities though.
Wait two days after a filibuster begins. Obtain sixteen signatures on a motion to invoke cloture. Wait another two days before the Senate can vote on cloture. Make sure that three-fifths of the Senate (sixty Senators) vote to end debate.
This is the scary thing. Pence is a bigger worm than Trump, and this is coming from myself in Indiana, who has been subject to his dumbass religiously-driven agenda first hand. Our country is going backwards.
I see the next four years as a Pence administration....sort of like Cheney was with Bush...Trump will speechify and make appearances but Pence is their puppet master
60 votes required for cloture. A vote of the senate cannot proceed without it. ObamaCare got a floor vote because Scott Brown broke ranks with the republicans and voted for cloture.
Just read an article about the Trump cabinet appointees....looks like a CEO club.... Trump has a number of advisers with whom he has built business relationships over the years. Insurance company CEO John Ridings Lee, 79, has been advising Trump on health insurance while oil tycoon Harold Hamm, 70, has Trump’s ear on energy policy, Politico reported. On trade, Trump seeks advice from former steel executive Dan DiMicco, 66. As for economic policy, Trump gets advice from G. Brint Ryan of Dallas, who advises companies on how to minimize their tax bills. As for education secretary, Trump has praised former primary rival Ben Carson, a retired pediatric neurosurgeon, and his views, the Washington Post reported. Carson is a strong supporter of school choice and rewarding good teachers. Carson also is seen as a contender to head Health and Human Services. Forrest Lucas, head of Lucas Oil, is a possible candidate for interior secretary although Politico noted Donald Trump Jr. is interested in that job. Possible picks for agriculture secretary include Bruce Rastetter, who made his fortune in pork, ethanol and farm real estate, and Chuck Conner, president of the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives. Trump also has talked to J. Larry Nichols, chairman emeritus of Devon Energy Corp; coal executive Joe Craft, Excel Services chief Donald Hoffman and Wilbur Ross of WL Ross & Co., an investment firm, Politico said.
Wrong. She wasn't using it to get elected. The racists who were doing tomahawk chops at the Scott Brown rally's were using it against her.
