"Trumpism Good and Hard" Mencken is a guy we can all get behind. Right wing and an outspoken atheist long before it was popular (or even safe). Something for everybody. Curious to know what people think of that piece. Comes over as pretty entitled: she's wishing ugly things on people who won't be her. (Okay, not strictly wishing: but accepting it as a price to teach others a lesson.) Also: she's missing the obvious solution for a Trump administration. Start a war! Always a great way to distract attention from troubles at home.
Trump's sweeping mandate. Finally America has its president after that sham Obama guy: Wonder if Romney's gonna cold-call Trump and whisper "got more votes than you" just to troll him.
And why did this happen? Because the DNC rigged the primary and pissed off a shit ton of loyal Democrats. I have friends who have been lifelong Dems. People who volunteered to make phone calls for Obama. Those same people were so upset after what happened with Hillary/Bernie that they refused to vote for Hillary. THAT is why she lost.
So what's the alternative? Begrudgingly accept the fact that your party is corrupt and continue to get in line, or send a clear message that you will no longer support their bullshit? People who continue to accept "lesser of two evils" are why we're currently in this mess. If everyone would wake up and stop voting the party line, maybe we'd have a viable third party and less corruption on both sides of the fence.
