The Opie and Anthony subreddit has ruined John Oliver, Samantha Bee, Patton Oswalt, and Louis CK for me.

 

Me and my wife were watching the one decent episode of the recent batch of new X-Files (the one with Rhys Darby in it) and afterwards she remarked that she couldn't really enjoy the X-Files any more because now she saw that as just the start of the wave of normalization of conspiracy theories that ends up in "Michelle Obama is really a man!!!!! And Hillary actually personally throttled Chris Stevens because he knew about how she murdered Vince Foster!!!!!"

 

It would have been funny if it wasn't dripping with butthurt and sincerity. So, no.

I, like most right-leaners in this country could give a fuck about being made fun of or ridiculed. We've gotten used to it.

Am I gonna stop watching Louie because he is a liberal? No, I love the guy and think he is hilarious.

Will I stop listening to the Joe Rogan Experience even though he has liberals on his podcast 95% of the time? No.

I could really give a fuck about the actors/directors/producers/entertainers of the worlds politics, as long as what they do is GOOD.

 

After 8 years of right wing butt hurt and rascist jokes now it's the left's turn to be butt hurt and spew Bubba jokes. That's just the way it works and anyone who doesn't like it, tough shit. All we're doing is role reversal.

 

Not a trump fan, but i do lean conservative. I'm ok with watching anything across the spectrum so that i can have perspective. I watch CNN/FoxNews/MSNBC/LastWeekTonight/BillMaherRealTime so for me its not localized to one ideology.

 

I'm an independent. I hate everyone equally.

I don't watch any TV. I have one with no cable; only bunny-ears. Once in a while, I'll watch the news (like now), OPB, and a sports game if it's on. But the rest of my news I get online, and that's all I need.

I also stream shows online, so I can watch them when I want, so I don't need cable or my TV.

Contrary to the old stereotype, I don't watch much Fox news, if ever. I watched in on election day for the first time in months.

I stopped watching mainstream news a couple of years ago because it was just so overwhelmingly depressing.

As for actual shows: I used to watch Conan O'Brien, until he came out in support of Gun Control, and his show started endorsing Hillary. This really bummed me out; I practically grew up watching that guy.

But, like so many others before him, he's become elitist and bitter. The irony being that his idol, David Letterman, also became very elitist and bitter.....after losing the Tonight Show to Jay Leno.

My my....how history repeats itself.

Anyways, besides Anime and sports, I watch Documentaries and a few shows online.

That's about it.
