Klay only appears to be worlds better because Klay doesn't have to guard Michael Jordan. Or Kobe in his prime. Or Ray Allen in his prime. Or Jerry Stackhouse. Or Penny Hardaway. Or Mitch Richmond. The overall talent at shooting guard right now is extremely weak compared to the late 80's and 90's. There are a shit ton of really talented point guards right now though.

Well Dame has consistently lit them up, so Klay can't be that good.

I'm ready for the McCollum cousins trade. Improves our perimeter defense with Crabbe in the lineup and cousins gives us easy buckets down low.

Id be okay trading CJ for DMC - we can get the scoring made up with DMC down low AND actually have defense...

We could probably get Henson as a salary dump without touching our core. That's still my preferred move.

Of course the only way I'd trade McCollum for dmc is if cousins took an extension as part of the deal.

But you can't tell me this isn't a better team than what we have now

    Dame
    Crabbe
    Harkless
    Aminu
    Cousins

Maybe we cn even expand the deal with us getting mclemore back as well.

    Exactly.

And of course it is. Anything with an actual good Center (Plumlee is trash) would be worlds better.

I'm pretty sure that Olshey didn't bring everyone back because he thought this team could contend, but rather because it gives him more assets to eventually move. I'd be surprised if he didn't make a pretty major trade either at the deadline or in the offseason. He's not stupid. He knows we need a center, but I don't blame him for not overpaying to get one (Mozgov, biyombo, etc) after the Whitesides went off the board.

How do you figure? Putting DMC on the roster isn't suddenly going to make Terry understand how to implement a defense. And while DMC is better than any defender we currently have, he's still not that great of a defender. Also, does Terry know how to use a low-post player on offense?

Don't get me wrong, I want DMC. But I don't think he's some sort of panacea.

DMC? Great. Lopez? OK. Henson? Why not? All right, let's do all of these.

    CJ/Meyers to SAC
    Plumlee/Vonleh/Davis to BRK
    Aminu to MIL
Cousins, Lopez, and Henson to POR.

    Dame/Crabbe/Harkless/Cousins/Lopez
    Shabazz/Turner/Layman/Henson

Probably doesn't work salary-wise, but whatever.

a turn around jumper from the top of the key isn't a low post offense ...

I keep seeing you write down the names of high-post, mid-range shooters...
