So you wouldn't take Tyson because of that?? Lololol

A better argument would be that he's old as shit.

But I'd still take him if it didn't cost anything besides a 2nd rounder or something.

He's the same age Camby was when we got him. 2 yrs of Chandler protecting the rim for 24 mpg, and then he goes off into the sunset when we hopefully develop a CotF.

It's not the worst idea given that we have like no legit trade pieces.

I'm for it. System familiarity is a plus as well.

But only if a Crabbe/Noel swap is off the table.

One problem with acquiring chandler is his contract. We can't absorb it.

Just gotta get rid of 13 mil.

Aminu + Davis for Chandler is something I'd consider.

Sorry for all the posts, but what if we traded for Chandler AND Noel? By trading Crabbe we can absorb those two contracts.

Then deal two of Plumlee/Davis/Leonard for a shooter.

Chandler and Noel split the C minutes and insures were never without a rim protector.

Not sure I'd wanna give up a valuable contract like Aminu for someone like Chandler. Rather go after someone younger like John Henson in that scenario. They'd probably be interested in Plumlee considering his ties with Kidd.

If we're going to go after Chandler, we might as well see if we can lure Reggie Evans out of retirement.

And, I'm only half joking. That's how desperately we need rebounding. His 21.9% career TRB% is second to only Dennis Rodman. He may only do one thing well, but he does that one thing VERY well. Which is more than I can say about any of the bigs currently on our roster.

He'd be redundant. They already have one Plumlee than can't shoot.

Yah but that Plumlee can't make plays in Kidds spread out offense the way Mason can.

henson is their starter now, and likely will be payed less than plumlee's next contract. otherwise a plums trade is only a one year rental for their starting center.

BTW I remember Faried suggestion being dismissed before season because we were covinced Davis was just as good. We could revisit that. He will provide some rebounding and truth be told, I cannot really see many power forwards that are available and good.

Faried + Noel combo would be good. We could get Faried for Davis + something probably, maybe Aminu or Turner. Then Crabbe for Noel and trade something (or nothing) for a back up guard that is not wanted at their team: Lamb springs to mind. Then if Ezeli is fit, trade Plumlee to Indiana for their pick because they need a center. With a bit of luck that will be lottery pick.

That was me, and that was based on the way Ed Davis played last year (and the year before) when he had PERs in the 18.7 = 20 range and was a rebounding monster. Well, Ed Davis has been a HUGE disappointment this year. He currently has a PER = 6.6. He's had a HUGE fall off from last year. I didn't see that coming. In fact, I don't ever remember seeing a player his age falling off so dramatically without a major injury.

A month ago, I didn't want to trade Ed Davis. Now, I'd trade him in a heartbeat - if anyone would take him. I had your back Ed, but you let me down, big time.

Can we include Gerald Henderson in a Noel trade? I thought he played great for us.

I remember him balling out for 7 games, then mailing it in and bricking a ton of mid range jumpers...he was the best passer on the team...he did not impress me that season after that first 7 games....for 13.3 mill ...at the time a good check..he was a vocal part of a bad locker room some said
