I thought you were talking about Vonleh for a moment there.

And I wouldn't be surprised if Joakim plays this game since it seems players who were injured seems to like making their comeback against us lately.

Hope the team doesn't overlook the Knicks. They are 5-2 at home with a +10.6 Deff (12th in the league). They also shoot the ball very well at home (.472 FG% - 7th best in the league). This isnt a gimme. I hope the team doesn't treat it like one.

We have the 30th ranked defense. Unless the Knicks forfeit I don't see how we win this game

That's why they play the games. You never know. Did you think we'd beat the, at the time, 48-4 Warriors by 32 points last February 19? I bet you didn't, but we did. The Warriors came into the game riding an 11-game winning streak with an average margin of victory of 17.6 points. That was the most dominant stretch of ball they played in their record setting 73-win season. We were a .500 team (27-27) at the time. Yet, we blew them out by 32 points.

I'm not making any predictions here. That's kind of the point. These things aren't really predictable. One team can come out on fire, the other team can have an off night. You just never know. That's why they play the games, and that's why I watch them.

I think you would see CJ and Dame are more even if CJ went to another team as their number 1 option. CJ can get his own shot in more ways than Dame can and CJ is a better shooter. And I think a better defender.

Fully agree. As good as Dame' intangibles and offense is (when shot selection is not horrid) - his defense is woeful, and is a massive net negative that is hard to cover up for.
CJ needs the ball in his hands to score and break down a defense - which he can do to any defense in the NBA.

Both players are too similar in skills, and too valuable with the redundancy in similarities to keep both around.
We would get more back in a trade for Lillard. (and improve our defense)
CJ and Anthony Davis >>>>>> Dame and Okafor

I'd trade CJ and be okay with it.

If I trade Dame I'm left wondering who the hell is running our team.

I see you've given up on trying to guess the 5th starter.

As far as the poll go, baseball, but only Japanese baseball.

If you trade CJ for a star or Dame for a star, either way you still need to find a third "very good player". And since this is a guard dominated league now, I would keep both of our guards. The duplication theory does not sway me because it is hard for one player to be "on" every game, or play every minute, or stay injury free.

    We need both.

CJ is just a better version of Jamal Crawford. Can score pretty much whenever but doesnt actually make anyone around him better. And I disagree about the defensive part. Getting more steals doesn't make him a better defender.

Lillards impact goes beyond the court.

I would move CJ for a Cousins in a second. Lillard is untouchable.

Tomorrow night will be our 5th game in 7 nights. It will be the Cavs' first game in 5 days.

    Seems fair.

I did not say we should trade CJ. I think we should keep both. And CJ is wayyyyyy better than Crawford. Jesus Christ.
