Hey folks, I thought I would post this here, because it has to do with Portland. There's a huge following of 49er fans in Portland and the surrounding area, which I am proud to be a part of. My father is featured in this video at the 5:10 mark (my nephew and him are featured at the 5:16 mark) and throughout from there. He's a life-long 49er fan, and I got my love of the team from him. He's really proud of the work that he's put in to two clubs here in Portland (Portland 49er Faithful and the 49ers Booster Club of Portland), and I'm very proud of him as well. http://www.49ers.com/video/videos/The-Faithful-The-Portlanders/b4ea8e8c-3d93-428f-827b-c78c37341b94 I'm not thrilled with our 1-10 record right now, but I'm still a fan for life. I only take solace in what will surely be an awesome draft pick, getting rid of Kaepernick, and firing GM Trent Baalke (something which should have happened 2 years ago). Oh, and getting a new Defensive Coordinator. I really wish the QB draft class was better though.
I was a Niner fan from the days of Y A through Steve Young's days. Give it up after that though. Sure glad I didn't have to suffer through the time of the ass hole they have insulting America and the flag.
Yeah, I am NOT happy with Kap right now. At all. The whole bullshit he pulled in Miami by even thinking of supporting Castro....IN MIAMI....just proves how stupid he really is. Hitler did a lot of great things for Germany. But he was still Hitler. I'm done with Kap. The whole flag protest was the final straw for me. I supported him when Harbaugh left, and I supported him last year when we were being coached by Tomsula. Not anymore. The quicker he's gone from this team, the happier I'll be, and the better off we'll become.
True, our Defense is beyond awful. But that has a big part to do with Trent's drafting and our Defensive Coordinator Jim O'Neil, who only spent one year on the Cleveland Browns (last year), and they didn't even bother trying to keep him. That should tell you all you need to know. I don't know what Chip Kelly sees in him. That's whom I meant; couldn't think of his name, so I called him "Zeke". Elliot is a total beast. I wish our Ohio State prospect Carlos Hyde was better than he is currently. The guy is always hurt, and I'm really worried about him tearing something with his running style.
Zeke is Ezekiel Elliot. We all know you meant Prescott but I can still get a jab in. So glad I was wrong about Zeke. I wanted Ramsey BAD at 4, thought our Oline was such a beast that we could get 1400 yards out of any back but three games in Zeke's blocking was as much of a highlight as his running. Guy is going to be a start as long as the NFL doesn't' suspend him for the GF beating accusations.
Klamath County was about the last Oregon county to still be a majority of Niner fans the last time I saw one of those facebook fans poll things, I'm sure that has changed to the Raiders by now though.
I had to think deeply about why I hated the Cowboys and I could only come up with 2 reasons: Their marketing ploy of being "America's Team". (As much as I hate it, it is BRILLIANT) Jerry fucking Jones. That said I really like Dak and Zeke. Like A LOT. And I really like Beasley too.
You'd have to talk to a Raiders fan about that, I've barely been paying attention to the NFL this year with the Niners being terrible and Fidel Kaepernick.
I've always loved the Niners while my team has always been the Eagles. I'd probably bathe in Randall Cunningham's foot sweat.
LMAO, came on to this thread just to say that, huh? Feel better? I went with this club up to Seattle for the 9er/Seahawks game earlier this season and, for the most part, Seattle was good to us. Occasionally there were some fingers and yelling out the window, but beyond that, everyone was pretty cool. Mind you, I still don't like them.
Nope. For some reason I've always liked the Cowboys. My dad is a Packer fan, lol. He's not from Green Bay. Then I found out that the Cowboys became the Cowboys in Oregon. 1st training camp was held at Pacific University. You'd think the Seahawks could play a preseason game in Oregon. 49ers did years ago.
