That is the reason he (Gordon) got a "smaller" contract... because of his injuries. I'll wait the 4 years before saying one is better than the other, because of that very reason.
Yeah I agree. I tried to sell us going after Gordon few years ago ( before we had CJ) and the consensus was no fucking way, due to his injury history. Right now he is playing awesome, but we will see how long that lasts.
Jesus. man.... LMao. I cant believe how important it is to be right. People can change minds and change opinions. At the end of last year I thought/hoped Crabbe could become our 6th man and possibly make a run for 6th man of the year. I also thought he would develop more than he did. Shit happens and sometimes shit doesn't happen. No one is always going to be right when we are talking about young athletes and millions of dollars. Some of them can make the next step and some of them cant. some of them have more/better tools to make a run at the next step but fail for various reasons. Some have little tools/skills but make the next step through dedication and effort. Shit happens and since it does, people should be allowed to change their opinions of how they feel about contracts. At the time Crabbes contract was given out, I thought it was fair considering other contracts given out. Crabbe has under performed, save for the last could of games, and thus the contract now looks like an albatross. What happens if in the next 20 games he averages 14 pts, 4 assists and 3 rebounds? controls the ball well with few turnovers and averages a steal a game? Is his contract still that bad? I will then possibly change my mind again. Hope nobody gets riled up if I do....
You literally feuded with 3-4 different people on that forum. I had a problem with one.... you. Or did you forget about how much you fought with the people who posted on there?
Then you better stay away from the O-Live Blazer forum. Several people will bring up shit you said/typed years ago and try to sling it in your face. It'd probably make you feel like doing this to them
ET's ability to take his man in the paint and score is huge for the second unit. A CJ, ET, Crabbe, Aminu, and (?) is a solid 2nd unit. Maybe keep starting both Plums and Davis, but bring in Leonard early so Davis can play with the 2nd team to start the 2nd and 4th quarters?
It's almost like all those people who said "give the team 20 games to integrate the new guy" knew something I and others didn't. Seems like I should have been more patient; for instance, I was calling for the CJ/Crabbe/Turner lineup to never see the floor again. If things continue to progress the way they've been going the past few games, this team could be very, very good.
We are gelling. I think the team is turning the corner. 2 weeks ago, we were focused on our own game and working through issues. Now I think we are more focused on the other teams game instead of our own. Familiarity within the roster breeds an expanded effort of study.
Our offense from our starters was horrible the first time. Yes the D sucked too, but still only 14 first quarter points? The fact that Leonard started did not help. But it wasn't all him, they all played bad. This game both Dame and CJ started off well. Especially CJ. Then our bench came in and played well. That, and Grant didn't play out if his mind
Exactly. Every season there are a few of those games where everybody on the team just seems flat and the ball won't go in the hole. I suppose it has to do with the fact that these guys are human, not basketball robots.
