I saw that live. Cuomo badgered the guy saying "consensus of scientists" (which is POLITICAL, a vote sort of thing). The guy said 5500 years in the context of "that's how old civilization is" - civilization being blamed for global warming. I noted that he said 5500 years. Creationists claim the earth is 6,000 years old, not 5500. Nicely distorted by the unbiased media.
