6,000 to 10,000 years. Not 5,500 years. I heard him live. He was talking about the age of civilization, not the age of the planet.
I don't trust the transcript to be 100% accurate. I heard what I heard. The number stuck out, but it was absolutely in the context of "throughout civilization, people have been wrong." He talked about flat earth and so on.
He also said the administration is all for clean water and air, and leaving the planet better off for future generations.
It was clear on the video that I just watched that he said 5500 year history of the planet. I guess it could have been doctored, but it's doubtful. Now, I can accept that maybe he meant 5500 year history of modern civilization, but he said planet.
Dude, you need to stop. Denny heard what Denny heard. Doesn't matter if there are videos or transcripts. Denny hears lots of things the rest of us don't.
Yes, he misspoke. 5500 years. That's about when there was the first writing. 3500 BC. If he's a creationist, he would have said 6000.
From your own link.... As a member of President-elect Donald Trump's Presidential Transition Team Executive Committee, Scaramucci defended efforts by the transition team to identify members of the United States Department of Energy (DOE) who participated in climate change research and or negotiations. Scaramucci went on to state that the history of our planet is 5,500 years and that scientists who support the hypothesis that humans are impacting climate are analogous to those who said the earth was flat.[32] Scaramucci then went on to correct himself by saying "human history. So I guess the guy is a liar now. According to you he didn't say that. So why did he correct himself if he didn't say it?
You cannot explain why he said 5500 years and not what creationists would claim (6,000 to 10,000 years). You can only look at a fragment of the entire discussion that went on and parse one sentence out of context, eh? There's not a shred of evidence that he's even religious at all. His WikiPedia page talks about his charitable donations and nothing to any religious organization or church or anything. The reason 5500 years matters is that there's no way to document there was any science or wrong claims before that.
https://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/anthony-scaramucci-global-warming-flat-earth-theory “Look, I know that the current president believes that human beings are affecting the climate. There are scientists that believe that that's not happening,” Scaramucci began, before Cuomo interrupted him. “The overwhelming consensus in the scientific community is that man's actions have an impact on science,” Cuomo said. “You have to correct that whenever it comes out. Go ahead.” “Chris, there was an overwhelming science that the Earth was flat,” Scaramucci responded. “And there was an overwhelming science that we were the center of the world.” Scaramucci presumably was referencing the theory of geocentrism, which held that the Earth was the center of the universe. Copernicus disproved that theory in the 16th century. ... “I’m saying people have gotten things wrong throughout the 5,500-year history of our planet.” ... “Some of the stuff that you're reading and some of the stuff I'm reading is very ideologically-based about the climate. We don't want it to be that way,” he said.
This is what you just posted. You heard what you heard. So why did he issue a correction if he didn't say that?

To get away from the creationism red herring, isn't it a bit disingenuous of Cuomo to intimate that if one doesn't believe in man-made climate change, one doesn't care about the environment at all?
You just said you watched it live, he didn't say that and you don't trust a transcript with him saying that. And now you're quoting it. So, lets review... I post part of a transcript, you say that's not accurate, he didn't say that. You post part of the EXACT SAME transcript. Now it is suddenly accurate. So what exactly did you hear?
