Ah, but Boogie is. Don't underestimate him. Who knows what nonsense he'll get up to between now and the trade deadline to further decrease his trade value. It's like an arms race of stupidity down there. It's a contest between Boogie and the organization to see who can out dumb the other. BNM
It's either trade him before the deadline or throw away another season and watch him eventually walk for nothing. The longer they hold onto him the less they will get in return until his trade value eventually reaches zero and he walks. They have to know that there is no way in fuck he actually re-signs with them once his current contract is up and they aren't making the playoffs with him this year. So, they might was well move him and let the tanking/rebuilding officially begin. BNM
I said it before and I think it is a very real possibility. Like a 40-50% chance of NO pulling something like this off: Crabbe/2018 CLE 1st to PHI for Noel Nerlins (Leonard or Plumlee, they could pick)/Davis/Aminu/2018 POR 1st for DMC This would look like this... Dame/CJ/Napier CJ/Turner/Connaughton Harkless/Turner/Laymen DMC/Vonleh Nerlins/(Plumlee/Leonard) Fill in the gaps with MLE's If Vonleh and Laymen can grow into solid role players, that is a contender. I think based on the decreasing trade value of both of the players we acquire, combined with their need for what we are giving up, divided by the recent news about the new bargaining agreement, this is a viable trade. The news about the collective bargaining agreement just increased Crabbe and Turners contract values by aprox 10-15% Aminu, Leonard and Davis will be on incredible contracts, especially if the can show even a little bit of improvement over the next year. I think NO can pull it off and I think it puts us in the running with a big three and a young explosive high ceiling bench.
tbh i can understand the annoyance of having to talk to someone that writes 'opinion' pieces about your family. fuck that reporter for trying to provoke him, he wanted it and got it, enjoy it.
Damn, under the new CBA Boogie can: -Sign with the Kings this summer for 6 years/$235 Million. -Sign with a different team next summer for 4 years / $138 Million. No way in FUCK Cousins leaves that kind of money on the table so Sacramento knows they have him in the bag. Boogie needs to smash Vivek's wife or something now. Hell, he might even have to pull a 3some with her and Vlade's wife as well.
Really? I think he leaves.. $138 mill is plenty. His biggest beef all along has been not winning. He wants to win. If they max him out, they will NEVER win. They wil never be able to pay to surround him with enough of the right talent. $138 mill is plenty when your contending.
It's impossible for 99% of players to give up on that kind of money. That's not some 35 year old giving up on 10 million for 1 year of championship ride ie David West\Malone etc.
We shall have to agree to disagree. I think he is still somewhat misunderstood and albeit fairly immature when dealing with his anger and frustration, its all stemmed from losing. He won in college. He is dominating his position in the NBA, but is losing and losing big. Year after Year for what.... six years now? He is done. In my opinion, regardless of money, there is no way he signs again. He views the organization just like most of the rest of us NBA fans.. an abysmal joke with no direction, discipline or semblance of a long term plan to win. They don't properly dissect the talents and flaws of their star players to put the right type of team around him/them. And the top dog made the fatal flaw of letting Boogie control Karl, instead of letting Karl control Boogie. GM's and owners have to stand behind the guys they bring in for at minimum 3 years, or it's simply a no win situation, which is what Karl was put in. The organization is doomed to failure and there is no way a guy as competitive as DMC is will hang around and take on 5 more years of that frustration. Plus, who says he is done after four years? He will likely sign one more large contract and so he will end up making close to the same money in the long run anyhow. Trust me. He isn't staying with them.
The weird thing about all of this is that Cousins can still tell the Kings he would leave and give up on all that money if he won't get traded and in that scenario they will have to gamble if he's bluffing or not so the situation would kinda be the same.
4 years from now, he'll probably be able to get $40M a year, so in actuality he's giving up on about $20M, or $3M a year. That's not a big deal when you're making almost $40M a year.
I agree Cousins wouldn't leave that money on the table; but I also think there is no way SAC would want to pay him that much. And, really, would the Blazers ever want to? Because they would end up having to if they traded for him now.
I love ALL of what he is doing to be honest. Everybody gets their damn feelings hurt way to easy these days. He speaks his mind, tells people that he doesn't like that he doesn't like them, and has his own reasons for not liking them. He has every right to have those feelings and voice them. I would much rather have a guy not willing to be walked on by bullshit media reps that are total douche canoes, than a dude that is fine with being everyone's door mat. Have the balls to stand up for yourself, its clear Cuz does.
